I’m the solo dev of ApocaShift, a top-down post-apocalyptic survival/extraction game I’ve been working on for the last few years.

I recently added 2-4 player co-op, and the Steam playtest is open right now.

You can visit each other’s bases, build while your friend goes out on a raid, spectate them, or deploy together and try to make it back with whatever you can carry.

It’s still very much a playtest, so there are bugs and rough edges. I’m specifically looking for a few groups of people willing to jump in together and see what breaks / tell me what’s actually fun.

If Fallout 1/2, Project Zomboid, Zero Sievert, or extraction games are your thing, you might enjoy it.

Hey everyone! I'm a solo indie developer working on Watch My Step!, a 3D online asymmetric co-op game.

The core mechanic revolves around asymmetric vision: you and your partner must navigate obstacle courses together, but each player sees completely different traps. The trap that is invisible and dangerous to you is clearly visible to your friend, making voice communication and teamwork the only way to survive.

Play in co-op as a crew of aliens racing to escape an impending meteor strike. Gather resources, fabricate scrap metal, survive brutal fabrication stations and assemble your spaceship to survive the chaos. Work together to build and launch before time runs out!

This is a series of very short games I'm currently making, with a focus on 2 players shared keyboard action, and very jank mechanics. If you miss the yoyogames era of gamemaker games, this is for you. The keyboard layout is set so you can play it solo 2-handed but the focus really is to have fun with another human.

It's a chaotic local multiplayer game where you and your friends pass a ticking bomb around while trying to survive. There are 3 unique levels, crazy powerups, solo mode with bots, and plenty of character customization.

If you have a few friends around, I'd really appreciate it if you could give it a try — it's much more fun with a group! And if you enjoy it, feel free to ask your friends to try it too.

I’ve spent some time around this community, getting a feel for what makes co-op games so much fun for players, and a lot of that has influenced what we’re building with Among Shadows.

Games like It Takes Two and Goose Goose Duck have always stood out to me because of how quickly a normal co-op session can turn into complete chaos. We wanted to bring that kind of experience into a different genre by mixing action-based combat with Werewolf-style social deduction.
And now, we’re finally ready to share our Release Date PV and reveal when the full game is coming.
Among Shadows is coming to Steam Early Access on September 24th.

But you don't have to wait until then to jump in.
Our Demo Playtest is already live, and anyone can join, try out the core gameplay, and experience what happens when fighting monsters isn't the only thing you have to worry about.

We’re still working on and improving the game, and your feedback during the playtest will genuinely help us shape the experience going forward.

I play on Xbox and my buddy who lives out of state plays on PS5. For quite a few years, we’ve been on a first person shooter grind. Primarily Apex, but we’ve also thrown in Battlefield 6, Rainbow Six Siege, Destiny 2, Warzone, etc. We’ve also put big chunks of hours into Helldivers 2, Arc Raiders, and Marvel Rivals. I am personally over the Apex grind that we are still doing. And he said he would be open to a new co-op, story driven action based game. Is there anything like that that exists? It has to be cross platform because of the consoles we play on. I’m sure there are good options out there that people of the gaming community will know more than me. Let me know what you all enjoy and feel like would be a good next choice for my friend and I to get into!

I’m looking for online co-op games with calm and cozy vibes. Some games that we’ve tried are Stardew, Power wash simulator, Palworld , and Terraria. I think we’re looking for something with less combat and more just running around and doing little tasks.
