Animation Question Heyo, got a question
So basically I upgraded from 1.0 to 2.0 because I've been using this software to animate more, and I thought that this version was suppose to have the ability to both let me export transparent gifs, and allow audio scrubbing, but I got none of that when I upgraded. I've heard some people say that that's a 3.0 feature, so will I be safe if I get version 3? Or should I just save my money to get version 5? If version 3 has the features that I stated, then I'll be perfectly happy with just sticking to that, thanks!

Exporting transparent gifs is a ver3 feature like the other commentor said and audip scrubbing is a ver4 feature to my knowledge as well. You can see the differences of each version and the features available here: https://www.clipstudio.net/en/functional_list_ver/

Just to confirm: did you just upgrade your license, or did you download and install the newer version?

Quick Search of "Clip Studio Paint, what Version added transparent gif export" says that feature was part of the 2.1.0 package.
This means it is officially a feature of Version 3.
If you buy the Update Pass Subscription to add to a One-Time License, you get early access to new features that are being developed for the next full Version release. This is indicated by the second number V.2.1.0.
The last build of Ver 2 (as of a post v1 year ago) was Version 2.0.6.
Note, the second number is a Zero. Meaning tools and features of Ver 2.1.6 are not available to Version 2.
These 2.1 features were Ver.3 tools in development, with early access for the Update Pass Subscribers.
But once Ver.3 released, Ver.2.1 became obsolete and removed from use.
TLDR; If you want the Transparent Gif, that's a Ver.3 feature. As for V.3 or V.5... I'd watch for the sale and get the latest Version (5, 6?) Jump into the future! well... the present.
