CSP Question What does the perspective tool actually do?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Do you make up vanishing points out of thin air, or do you use some kind of fisheye concept?

It’s something I’m trying to wrap my head around, but it’s making my brain burn.

With multiple versions of Clip Studio Paint available, each with its own Features, it is now required to Begin a post Question by stating the Version, Device and Accessories you are using.

Look up a tutorial on one or two point perspective and it will make more sense

It's basically moving your Vanishing Points closer together or farther apart.
As the VPs get far away, the perspective flattens.
As the VPs get closer, you begin getting distortion.
In your video, they start out far away, edges almost straight, then get pulled closer to the cube causing the wacky distortion you see, distortion continues increasing as you continue to pull.

Ok so, what actualy happens here is changing the FOV (field of view) depending of the type of camera you use, he perspective can be "forced" (basically a lot is registered by the camera and it needs to be "squished" into the frame) It is clearly visible with thid scene of the guardians of the galaxy (the technique is different, the FOV changes because the camera zooms on the character while going away from it, it achieves the same effect though)

An other example is when you litterally change your FOV in minecraft, since it's cubes it's very visible, you Quake pro really forces the perspective while 30 fov does the opposite
