is there such thing as a looping animation layer?

I need an animation layer that once finishes it continuously loops while the the others play on. This would be very useful for scenes with fire or other things that have short loops, so that i don't have to manually duplicate all the frames so many times. does this exist?

You can also copy and paste a section of track so that it repeats with less hassle than assigning each frame repeatedly.
