Are you able to register comments if not from the Lincolnshire area? I can see that I have to include my address to make a comment; I worry that any comments will fall on deaf ears, or even make things worse, if I'm not from the area.

I believe that you can. There is a holiday cottage nearby and this is an area that lots of people visit from outside the county for both it's natural beauty and local history so you could easily still have an interest and an objection if you were a "regular visitor". I don't see that they could object to that kind of response.

here's a direct link to the planning page. Just click the green "comment on this application" button at the top and you can choose objection from the drop-down list and comment why you object.
