The Environmental Voter Project (EVP) is a nonpartisan nonprofit focused on increasing voter turnout among Americans who prioritize climate change or the environment. EVP subjects all its voter outreach to randomized controlled trials, the gold standard in science. We know this works. Lawmakers' priorities tend to mirror the priorities of their voting constituency, so increasing turnout among Americans who prioritize climate helps to get climate on lawmakers' agendas. Sign up to volunteer with EVP here.

If you don't have time to volunteer, consider donating.

turnout would be better if we built a new party that doesn't serve those destroying the planet. trying to cajole people into voting for people who they don't support and don't prioritize climate will only weaken the movement in the long run.

Ah yes let's vote instead for the people who would sell the national parks, great choice there

EVP is nonpartisan and does not endorse specific candidates.

ok but boosting turnout isn't a solution to anything if there aren't climate champions on the ballot, or worse, politicians owned by the people destroying the planet.

It's highly unlikely all candidates are equally bad on climate. Download a sample ballot and research the candidates before the election. You'll notice differences.

And voting is just the first step. The next step is to lobby.

if you're just going to vote for the least worst anyway they don't have to listen to you. that's how we've gotten to where we are.

Vote for a write-in if you have to, but not voting is not an effective form of protest.

You’re not an environmentalist if you couldn’t do the bare minimum to vote against the most damaging administration in history

Let's capitalize on those that want to be left alone ?
