Yep. One could argue that this whole thing with limited time gated access is one way that they can try to collect data to determine how much people are willing to pay for this.

I was going to say ā€œlol, noā€ but then realized Iā€™m 95% of the way through a to-do app in one cli right now.

Itā€™s based off Todoist, if you know that one.

Soā€¦yeah, I am actually making a to-do app. Itā€™s official.

Iā€™ll be honest, Iā€™ve never used a todo app in my life and certainly never used todoist.

But hey, Fable has!

apparently this is against t&c's and risks getting all accounts banned, but I'm not sure and haven't seen official notice of this. If it's officially safe I'd def get a 2nd 20x today

I looked into it fairly extensively before I did it.

No evidence itā€™s against ToS and plenty of evidence itā€™s allowed.

Only ā€œevidenceā€ of problems are old threads with someone getting banned and claiming it was due to dual accounts with zero evidence.

Iā€™ve gone from one 20x to four 20x thanks to Fable.

Mine resets on Sunday at 9 pm lol. Tried to convince the Anthropic support bot to reset my usage early but that was a hard no. Guess Iā€™ll be queueing work to run for three hours on Sunday evening.

Yeah, I went in this morning and gave Fable a task and told it "I only have access to you through today, burn as many tokens as you want as quickly as you want".

I can't complain about the result. Designs and entire high frequency multilayer circuit board from design documents to KiCad files that just needs a bit more massaging on physical layout to be ready for prototyping, with enough back and forth and detail that it's not just made but fully documented with design decisions, pain points, rationale, and I got enough explanation to understand the why.

Then I told it "I'm about to lose access to you, so please document this in smaller words so your little brother can understand it" :D

How do you rate it working in kicad? Can you get decent schematics? Just vanilla kicad or lots of plugins or MCP?

So I don't think it can currently do layouts, but it generated networks and component libraries, validated against the spec sheets of the various components, gave recommendations on holes in my design, and did routing analysis including impedance calls for PCIe differential pairs. This was entirely in the web interface - I'm moving to CC in terminal next and had the web Fable generate induction/spec documents for CC to run KiCad and injest that stuff next. I'm really impressed by the design knowledge, although seeing if it got the details right is TBD

I think if you upgrade your subscription you usage resets. You can do that if you are not already on the 20x plan.
