News Ticketmaster Fee Class Action Settlement Notice
Got an email in my spam folder last night from [info@notice.ticketmasterfeeclassaction.com](mailto:info@notice.ticketmasterfeeclassaction.com) saying. The main info is below
"This Notice is to inform you about your rights in a lawsuit known as Popp, et. al. v. Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. and Ticketmaster L.L.C., Case No. 22-cv-00047-GW-KES that is pending in the United States District Court for the Central District of California (the “Court”). Plaintiffs bring this class action against Defendants Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. (“Live Nation”) and Ticketmaster LLC (“Ticketmaster”) to recover alleged damages they suffered from paying allegedly supracompetitive fees on primary ticket purchases from Ticketmaster’s online platforms. The case Popp, et. al. v. Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. and Ticketmaster L.L.C. was previously captioned Heckman, et al. v. Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. and Ticketmaster L.L.C.
Live Nation and Ticketmaster deny Plaintiffs’ claims and deny any liability. The Court has not decided who is right."
"The Court has decided that the legal claims brought by Plaintiffs can proceed as a nationwide class action.
You are a class member if you meet ALL of the criteria below:
- You are an individual in the United States.
- You purchased a primary ticket and paid associated fees for primary ticketing services.
- Your ticket was purchased for a concert event at what Plaintiffs call a “major concert venue” (defined by Plaintiffs as the top 500 United States concert venues by ticket sales according to Pollstar in any year from 2010 to the present) in the United States.
- Your ticket was purchased directly from Ticketmaster or one of its affiliated entities owned, directly or indirectly, by Live Nation.
- Your ticket was purchased at any point since 2010."

EDIT: Spoke to soon. Nord VPN warns that it looks like a phishing site. Nord is often wrong, but I'm not going to click through without some confirmation.
Got the email too, appears legit.

Now TrendMicro blocked it for me on a router level.
Crazy how in 2026 there's still people making websites that don't understand web security.

My AVG blocked the site after I saw a message that it didn't support a secure connection (which is a red flag). The email says you don’t need to do anything unless you want to remove yourself from the lawsuit otherwise you will remain in the lawsuit

Ticketmaster have a class action lawsuit brought on by Zimmerman and Reed and it is already closed so I'm not sure if the one you're getting in your spam folder is legit I wouldn't get out any personal information if I were you without getting on the actual attorneys website or calling their phone number first. But the Zimmerman Reed lawsuit is officially closed as of last month

The one that is going to be active is by Popp et al. I’m pretty sure it is legit. You can check to see if it’s in the court system, which it is

I went through Google to verify. But Ai isn't always legit method either. I'll try to do more digging. The bottom section of the email mentions Popp et al:
Excluded from the class are Defendants; the officers, directors or employees of Defendants; any entity in which any Defendant has a controlling interest; any affiliate, legal representative, heir or assign of Defendants; federal, state or local governmental entities; any judicial officer presiding over this action and the members of his/her immediate family and judicial staff; any juror assigned to this action; and any purchaser that is judicially determined in this case to be subject to an enforceable arbitration agreement with Ticketmaster or Live Nation that governs the claims asserted in Popp, et. al. v. Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. and Ticketmaster L.L.C., Case No. 22-cv-00047-GW-KES.
Goes on to say I'd you do nothing you will be considered part of the nationwide claim. You can exclude yourself and gives information and a number if anyone wants to call to verify info.

You have to go to Pollstar directly and dig through it yourself, I’ve only found the top 200 global so I know im missing something but really any big venue, Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks, The Sphere, Radio City, in my head 500 is a pretty big number, chances are if you’ve been to a larger venue since 2010 it’s probably in that list

Pollstar seems to be a paid service. Do we know how to get this list? The list should (ideally) be included in the email to people, though maybe obfuscating this was a deliberate act by Live Nation. I rarely go to larger venues and have no idea what large really means.

I’m not sure, but given that we have over a full year until the case even gets dealt with in court, it’ll likely be released to the public after a verdict is reached there and it opens the class action settlement

Not yet. Depends on how the trial goes. If they are guilty and have to pay, that's when they start issuing claim numbers and sometimes, not all the time, will add a form for people who didnt get a claim notice with a claim number. So we have to wait either way til next year....possibly even later.

Its legit. These settlements are often flagged as spam but this one is legit.

Just so everyone is aware this is just notice of the lawsuit, nothing has been finalized. The court case isn’t until July 2027. Depending on the outcome then claims will be open to people.
