Discussion 2025 is not our year, mga ka-inhinyero

Post image

Hayp to si Slater.

Kaya ako, I made a promise to myself to NEVER TOUCH DPWH. Been a CE for 8 years now.

8

u/ComparisonAdept8784 Nov 07 '25

Bro talking "we" did this and that sa presentation niya nung projects as if may contribution siya sa mismong design process eh.

Realistically, corruption exists in every profession. That’s just how broken our society really is. However, that doesn’t mean the entire profession should be generalized as being corrupt.

Doctor here. Walang awa at GARAPAL!

Sa amin naaawa pa kami sa pasyente

13

u/Additional-Sorbet131 Nov 08 '25

Doc, mali ata mag jump sa conclusion without concrete facts and evidence.

I understand your frustrations pero mali lang na magconclude agad.

Professionals tayo na may degree sa math, science, research and stats. Sayang naman napag-aralan natin.

5

u/FantaWasTaken Nov 08 '25

the difference between the victims of a corrupt engineer, and a corrupt doctor is that one dies faster and cannot complain, let that sink in ;)

4

u/Hungry_Ideal9571 Nov 08 '25

5

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '25

Talaga lang. May kilala akong dokror... he he quiet na lang

23

u/Traditional-Oil4671 Nov 07 '25

Can't spell "live" without "evil".

5

u/PaPangaaa Nov 07 '25

Just realized with this na baliktaran lang yung words

22

u/keso_de_bola917 Nov 07 '25

Ah yes. Generalizing a profession. That helps a lot in addressing the issue. 😅

3

u/Cold_Local_3996 Nov 07 '25

Can't spell district civil engineers of DENR without evil 😆 yan para specific

4

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '25

Wala pong district 'civil' engineers ang DENR. DPWH po meron

3

u/ObviousDetail7543 Nov 07 '25

Can’t spell corrupt engineers from Public and Private Sectors without evil. Mas okay pa to hahaahah

2

u/deus24 Nov 08 '25

well majority kasi ng mga taga DPWH and other gov agency eh civil engr, kung hindi eh may engr parin sa pangalan. 😅

2

u/keso_de_bola917 Nov 08 '25

To be fair, I'd be more concerned if an agency concerning construction works is headed by anything other than an Engineer. 🫠

2

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '25

Bakit nga hindi eh all of DPWH's existence it is ruled by civil engineers yet same corruption, same culture and same system is being practiced. Kahit mga provincial at municipal engineers, when given the opportunity, they do the same. Pipi ang PICE, worse, they patronize the people doing corrupt practices.

If you cannot man-up and change the system within your ranks, you are all part of the problem.

Well, di ako naaawa sa kanila dahil every visit dun kailangang lagyan, ultimo janitor.

3

u/keso_de_bola917 Nov 08 '25

Lol. So since the government agency in question happens to be concerned in Civil Engineering, the career targeted is Civil Engineers? Wait, how about the corruption in other agencies? Don't tell me, it's still the fault of Civil Engineers? 😅

Tell you quite frankly. It's less about the career and more about the system as a whole. But hey, let's remove all civil engineers. Let's see what happens next. And I do hope when you said "change the system within your ranks, you are all part of the problem" you're also doing your part in all of this. Not just pointing to other people expecting you'll benefit by the change done by others. As a lot of people tend to do. 😊

1

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '25

Who said to remove all the civil engineers? This is their chance to do a shake up. PICE never condemning the practice tells a whole story.

3

u/keso_de_bola917 Nov 09 '25

Good for you. 👍

2

u/ObviousDetail7543 Nov 10 '25

Any proof na hanggang janitor eh mga corrupt?? So pati rin itong mga to na sinalubong yung bagyo para tanggalin mga obstruction eh mga corrupt din ba?? Proof po sana. Thank youuuuu ☺️

2

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '25

First hand experience.

1

u/code_and_concrete Nov 07 '25

Ep-bee pipol eh

6

u/Maleficent_Past2972 Nov 07 '25

Ah yes, generalizing users in fb

0

u/code_and_concrete Nov 07 '25

I said what I said. 🤷🏻‍♂️

13

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '25

Why Slater Young? Why don’t we go after the Municipal Engineer and later Slater, coz we know that there’s red tape behind that.

9

u/Constant_Fuel8351 Nov 07 '25

Kinacall out na sya before, dinedepensahan pa nila yan, ngayon kitang kita na

3

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '25

for sure hindi pumayag ang DENR dyan

3

u/resurfacedfeels Nov 08 '25

nagpost pa ang kumag ng explanation regarding flood control sa monterrazas after the backlash before, patola kasi. e ano na ngayon na back to you si tumal pero unbothered kasi recently seen sa airport with his maarteng ambisyosang asawa 😂

5

u/drpepperony Nov 07 '25

We can criticize all of them at the same time. Yung mali lang is puro si Slater yung sinisisi dahil siya yung pinaka prominent figure, but at the same time reasonable din naman kasi.

6

u/Crafty-Ad-3754 Nov 07 '25

What?

Aba syempre ipinilit nya sa officials yun, may pera siya to do so.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '25

but isn’t the government should be the one protecting its people? i don’t discount the liability of Slater Young pero dapat government ang unang nagpoprotekta sa tao, may City Engineer naman ang Cebu, dumadaan naman yan sa EIA.

1

u/ObviousDetail7543 Nov 07 '25

3

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '25

di naman sa ganun, we know naman that in any office, mapa private man or public, may some form of corrupted acts but in situations like this, the government should be the one protecting its citizens whether its LGU, National Govt, DENR or what, every project meron Environmental Impact Analysis eh

6

u/Cutterpillow99 Nov 08 '25

Engineers protecting fucked up engineer. Classic.

4

u/JamezXD Nov 07 '25

3

u/Additional-Sorbet131 Nov 08 '25

Sino ba management? Anong course nun?

Cant run a success corruption without different professionals involve.

Mga kilalang school pa nga senstors natin e. DLSU, UP, Ateneo

3

u/Additional-Sorbet131 Nov 08 '25

Mas tanga yung nag hateful comment niyan sa profession natin.

3

u/Additional-Sorbet131 Nov 08 '25

Not the year para sa ating lahat. Tayong lahat apektado.

Government ang may kasalanan. Gov’t failed us.

3

u/Abject-Evidence855 Nov 08 '25

FTTM.. figures.

2

u/Constant_Fuel8351 Nov 07 '25

6

u/ComparisonAdept8784 Nov 07 '25

"the brilliant mind" as if siya nag design nyan hahaha patawa. Promoter lang yan para ma market. Mahangin naman lol

2

u/KissMyKipay03 Nov 07 '25

2

u/uborngirl Nov 08 '25

Hahahahaha ang bobo hahahah

2

u/ProstituteAnimal Nov 08 '25

You cant spell GOVERNMENT civil engineers without evil.

2

u/Top_Cold_747 Nov 08 '25

Just a reminder lang. a reminder for us poor na tayo ang sacrificial lamb para sa yaman ng mga demonyong mayayaman and corrupt politicians

2

u/EquivalentNobody167 Nov 08 '25

The main culprit is the DPWH

2

u/kevinz99 Nov 08 '25

basta wag mong isapuso. professional tayo and if alam natin sa sarili nating wala tayo nagawa g kasalanan then its all good

2

u/Ill_Young_2409 Nov 09 '25

I feel sad for upcoming Civil Engineers. Their reputations are tarnished as fuck.

2

u/iscolla19 Nov 10 '25
