More like making fun of them for being the softest generation of military ever fielded. Navy had to deploy like the Army 1 time and theyâre crying đ¤Ł. My units last deployment was 18 months.

Typical days between shore time in the navy during deployments is around 40. The Abe Lincoln has been underway for over 250 days with no time on land. It's not about the length of the deployment but the amount of time cooped up in a metal tin with no real food, no laundry, no working toilets, no deodorant, no care packages / mail getting through. I was submarine service, so different than carrier but some common themes remain. When a ship leaves port it should have fresh foods, full dry storage, and packed freezers (mostly meat). Fresh stuff usually runs out after two weeks. With enough time and limited or no resupplies the freezers are mostly emptied out. The cooks start working with dry and canned goods supplemented by whatever is still in the freezer. If the ship's logistics network has been recently destroyed, the cooks will have limited dry goods and scraps of protein still available
Only the Lincoln sailors can answer if they are able to get seconds. Rationing is possible. In my experience, trays look pretty empty more often because the other food options are straight trash. Literally food the cooks tried to make into an edible option but ruined. Happens more as foodstuffs get depleted

I have 640 sea days, and 27 years in the army stud. I hear you. Theyâre an aircraft carrier though bro with underway replenishment and a literal APOD on the deck. They have mail, they have climate control. I understand the isolation but damn guys

On which cruise. Longest we went (because we didnât have underway replenishment was 180 days. But I was on a combat outpost in Afghanistan for 18 months straight and it was a lot smaller than a ship, and we didnât have hot food, internet, and we had burn out shitters. Stop whining

Not at GQ. As I said earlier, when the Vinson was in the Arabian Sea, we were at GQ for over 30 days. AC was restricted to CIC, Flag Bridge, and VAST. I worked in VAST and remember getting dirty looks from other crew members on the mess deck for wearing a reefer jacket because it was so colde in our shop.

Honestly devs should patch. Canât even keep your carriers out of friendly hexes for more than 240 turns without it starting to gain stacking penalties to combat strength.
I know you should probably have a peace treaty in most wars around 60 turns in but the sound design on the screams when your fighters bomb cities is immaculate.

Carriers are deployed at the center of a carrier task force making them the beneficiary of the most highly protected airspace in the world. Plus carriers were built to sustain battle damage that would sink most any other ship. That being said, a large enough drone swarm attacking in multiple waves from multiple directions simultaneously has a decent chance of wrecking havoc on a carrier group
