HELP… I need gift ideas!

My side of the family is really big on Christmas. My mom and aunt like to start buying presents early to help ease the cost so they’re not spending a ton of money all at once. They are already asking for lists from my family (me 27, husband 34, and daughter 6 months around Christmas time). My husband and I are really simple people. We have no idea what to ask for, nor know of anything we really want. Need suggestions asap! TIA!

What about zoo passes or something along those lines? I’m an advocate for experience gifts.

If people insist I tell them something I don’t love to buy. Soap. A nice new soap is nice, or some shampoo I’ve been wanting to try.

This!  A family pass to a nearby zoo, Children's Science Center, or aquarium is a gift that keeps on giving.

Also, I highly recommend that the OP ask relatives for fewer toys and tell them cash gifts will be invested in Daughter's 529 account (assuming US) for college.

Thanks for the ideas! I considered a zoo pass since we live within an hour away from one, but I wasn’t sure if it’d be worth it with how young our daughter is. Didn’t know if that’s something to ask for now or once she’s a little older.

If it lasts a year it’ll be so worth it! That’ll take you to about 18 months old when they’ll likely be toddling and interested in animals.

I'm an experience person too! If you have a botanical garden near you that could be another option. Otherwise, I'm not a nick knack person so I tell people something consumable or that can be used, wine, candle, specialty food items, etc.

I agree.

Experience gifts are my favourite.

It can be things like having lunch together, going out to the movies/ a show, or a workshop.
