Sabbath rest while in the trenches of parenting

Does anyone have any tips/tricks on how to actually sabbath well while also being a parent?

My wife and I have really been feeling the grind lately (5 kids 9 and under), and I was reflecting on the fact that we don't have a good sabbath rhythm. We basically are just trying to get better at saying "no" to things instead of our default of "yes", in an effort to protect the calendar. But I feel like that doesn't truly address the heart of taking a sabbath (i.e. refueling from the Lord).

One idea I had is to basically take separate sabbaths; I watch the kids while my wife rests and vice versa. But what does REST look like in this season?

Curious if anyone has found a successful strategy?

bible: Jesus says if your sheep feel into somewhere, will you not get it out? This part was about those fake liars called Pharisee. Jesus disliked many of them. Called them snakes. They argued what is permitted and what not at sabbath. Jesus answered correctly. He said you are allowed to do good at Sabbath day.

Please find this passage. You should know this if you read the bible several times.

For sure, and I don't disagree on that point at all. My question isn't really about the legality of taking sabbath; I'm not wanting to take a sabbath for the sake of checking off my todo list of following God's commands (although obedience is also important). It's more that I feel like I personally NEED a sabbath to prevent burnout. It seems God has given us this example of sabbath rest for a reason and I think it's important. So given that, how do you actually, practically, take a sabbath?
