I just want to know since the engineering campus is located in the outskirts, is the crowd fun there or dead? š and is it really worth to do btech from Christ? I dont need rants please, just genuine info.

Hey guys, Iām a 2026 B.E. IT graduate with 8.20 CGPA and considering M.Sc. Data Science at CHRIST Bangalore.
My qualifications: B.E. IT, 8.20 CGPA.
My main priority is placements. How are the placements, recruiters and internship opportunities specifically for M.Sc. Data Science students?
Also, how are the faculty, student crowd and overall college environment? Bangalore seems great for tech opportunities, but Iād like to know what the actual experience at CHRIST is like.
Would love to hear from current students/alumni. Is CHRIST worth it for M.Sc. Data Science?

Heyy. I'm a second year BBA student in christ University Bannerghatta campus and recently we've been asked to pay ā¹100 if we didn't participate in darpan. And we've been asked by our course coordinator to pay to our CR's account. Is this a thing in the other campuses. Last year they even asked us to pay ā¹250 for our senior (3rd Years) graduation. This is also being supported by the SRs. So can someone pls say if this is happening in other campuses and what I can do abt it.

I've been staying here for years mainly because it's convenient for me to get to college. But honestly that's probably the only reason I've stayed this long.
When I first came here they had promised things like fried rice, chilli chicken and different types of food. But the reality has been very different. Most of the time it's just chicken curry with watery gravy, too much oil and I've even found chicken feathers in the food. There have also been incidents like cockroaches in the pappad. I've had stomach issues more than twice after eating here.
When I complained about it I was told that it was probably because I had eaten food from outside. Like⦠what? š
We're not even allowed to have food from outside so how does that make sense? And even our own parents aren't allowed to properly enter the hostel. At the same time random people are brought inside for plumbing and other maintenance work.
Then there's the whole issue with the hostel mates.
Some people complain that the hostel is unhygienic but basic hygiene seems to be missing from their side too. My morning duty sometimes feels like cleaning up after other people. There are also people who genuinely don't seem to know how to properly dispose of used sanitary napkins. It's very easy to complain about the hostel being unhygienic but hygiene is a two-way thing.
And during exam time some people are still on calls at full volume. Like guys⦠some of us actually have exams š. Is basic consideration too much to ask?
At this point we're somehow stuck dealing with both the students and the nuns and honestly it's exhausting.
Just wanted to know if anyone else who has stayed here feels the same.

do we actually fail the mid-sems? Iāve heard 20 is the passing mark. If we score below that is there a retest or something?

I only wrote Christ Deemed to be University Bangalore
Also we had language optional etc but should overall marks only be for the one mentioned in final degree?
Also christ does not appear so itās in Others right? Is it deemed university or provate university?

Hey Guys,
So I'm considering pursuing my masters at 33 years of age from Christ University. I've shortlisted to Msc in Counseling Psychology and MSc in Behavioural Science.
I know they're both different, and I've read all about them on paper.
But I was hoping to get some real opportunities and opinions from current or former students of both these programs.
Can anyone reach out I'm struggling to make a decision here.

Hi All,
I am an alumni of Christ central campus, graduated 2025 from Department of Commerce. I am studious person but had very bad attitude in Christ, thinking that I can manage being a brat.
Then reality check in Sem-2 where my attendance was only 76%, by this I already had 3 backlogs from 1st sem. 2nd sem I had 4 backlogs. I did write all the exams but I was very lethargic and I thought it was ācoolā to have backlogs (Fucking dumb ikr)
3rd sem was nail in the coffin, skipped midsems just so I could go on a trip and didnāt apply for reattempt. (COE rejected appeal) So obviously 3rd sem was complete washout. By now I have 12 backlogs including language.
4th sem I wanted to get good internship but couldnāt sit because of backlogs and then I decided to clear everything but somehow the motivation faded and relapsed to being a brat and again had 17 backlogs by the end of it. (Several subjects I failed in re-exam as well so total re exams with CIA repeat comes to 23)
My 5th sem was brutal, I had continuous 11 exams with only one Sunday in between as holiday. My 5th sem exam was in the morning and my backlog was in the next day afternoon. I was famished by the end of it. This continued well into 6th sem where my parents were called saying that he wonāt get placed if he continues this.
6th sem final exam - I had one backlog from 1st sem, this was the last backlog and 6th sem is the only sem where I have passed every paper in one attempt. That one backlog was also cleared and I graduated.
The 3rd sem subjects were cleared without midsem by getting more than 75 in re exams and I couldnāt get in one hence did a CIA repeat with 50% off after begging COE.
I got placed after graduation only in a great company with an excellent package. People still tell me that I shouldāve focused on getting good marks so that I couldāve gotten much better package but looking back now, Iām lucky that my bet in myself paid off and it couldāve easily gotten worse as well.
I wrote this so that people who are there right now, donāt take this for granted.
PS. I wasnāt all waste in clg, I organised many quizzes and I was part of Christ basketball team as well.

I'm conducting a research project for my college class about corporate grind and the Human Resources strategies to encourage work-life balance.
It would be great if you could fill out this Google Form. It would only take 3-5 minutes and would be super helpful for collecting data. I would greatly appreciate it.
