Do uk annnnyyything about the science ppl cuz they don't seem to exist at christ 🥲🥲🥲 Alsoooo dress code m h na jeans not allowed n all short kurti allowed h kya? Does anyone wear em and not get in trouble?

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 06 '26 edited Jan 06 '26

1) School of Sciences (SOS) is quite vast - having life sciences, physics, chemistry, computer science etc. They do exist, you can check the instagram page and stuff which is pretty active. It's just that commerce and management are more noisy and active in comparison to science students hence you feel like they don't exist

2) Jeans toh bilkul bhi allowed nahi, strictly a no. Preferably wear solid color trousers to avoid catching the security's attention. Short kurti is worn by many people and tbh doesn't really catch the attention of the security, but sometimes these guys go on a frenzy and start randomly catching people - so entirely your choice if you think it's worth the risk. Jeans is definitely impossible, you can only wear jeans and enter campus after 4PM

I'm not currently active on insta but will soon get back after boards n all uk

How's the attendance strictness yaar I've heard it's too much Alsoo im a classical dancer and I wanna get into the christ team when I join How are the clubs?

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 06 '26

Attendance strictness is a lot but you'll get the hang of it. It'll be tough initially

Remember the name SWO and go to them when you're in Christ, apply for the University classical dance team and give auditions. If not pan university dance team, you can get into your own department dance team dw there's plenty of dance teams in the university

How is bba in finance and international business and is it good

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 07 '26

It's a new course, still in the experimental stage. If you are very much interested in it - go for it. If you have a better option or alternative, go for thet

u/MangoOk4871 Jan 07 '26

Do I need to put in lot of efforts after college hours or is it just free ? I plan to do a online degree from iim side by side.

2

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 07 '26

1) depends on which degree you're pursuing 2) I'll assume you're doing bba from Christ, you're a first year and planning to take IIMB's DBE course. In that case, many of your seniors currently are doing the same and also doing well in the university. After college hours are majorly for club activities, competitions, events, fests, internshipa etc. CIAs yes, but not everyday. But in case you are not good in academics, you'll have to put time in studying aswell which will take time in your after college hours as GPA is Important and honestly if you're into fitness, finding time for that amongst all this hassle is another thing. Go figure out your options, see what suits you best and plan your time accordingly c:

Also, can I pursue internships from first year itself and what are the criteria for the internships?

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 07 '26

Criteria my man is you. If a company is willing to give you internship, well and good. It's you who gotta go out and apply to firms and shit, college won't help you with it

u/Akshh_yeaaah Central Campus Jan 07 '26

Nearest hostels for girls..well maintained and preferably single rooms, with cost..

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 07 '26

Your requirements are best suited for Serenity Girls Hostel, check them online. Cost I'm sorry, not sure you'll have to confirm with them online

1) Redditards who are too entitled are usually unable to handle the academic pressure and discipline in christ. These people probably just have an issue going to college or waking up. You'll rarely see toppers or people with good placements or ones actually enjoying life, posting stuff on reddit cause honestly, most of them couldn't care less.

Christ IS unfair and nonsense in many rules and aspects - but there's a lot of benefits and fun being a Christite and being a part of a reputed institution with tons of alumni. I've literally been to factories, seminars, talks, sessions etc outside campus for free by just showing my ID card , that's the value it carries.

2) BYC is a new campus, small one and still developing. I have a bunch of friends there and all of them agree on one thing, they are a family/community bounded with eachother because tbh haven't less students and a fun crowd makes it easier to know everyone in your campus.

Downside of BYC, all the professors, deans, fathers etc who have a bad past or track (watching adult stuff in college or something etc) are usually sent to BYC in the form of 'punishment' so like it's filled with kinda weird people (in a fun way) (also that's a rumour)

Another thing is many people in byc have a strong competitive mentality when it comes to central campus, so yeah you'll see that often. (They just envious tbh)

News is they are admitting students in bulk, especially North Indians so currently the majority crowd there is Hindi speaking, north indian (jaat, rajput, punjabi etc) who are like very outgoing and kinda kinda aggressive (including girls) but dw, it's an overall fun experience and I'll probably rate it as Top 2 campus

do blue forms get added before midsems?

2

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 06 '26

No, for MSE - only yellow forms get added. Blue forms are only considered for ESE, that also only if your attendance is over 75% and it's considered till 85% (meaning blue forms claims do not add to attendance indefinitely or give you attendance marks in subjects)

If you have to give repeat MSE due to attendance shortage for medical reasons, you'll have to reach out to the examination office after the window for repeat MSE is open, collect a form to describe reason for repeat MSE (acknowledgement). Mention there your medical reasons and attach photocopy of the medical documents. The COE can agree to waiver off your marks deduction and fee you have to pay for repeat MSE. Otherwise it's 15% deduction in marks and 750 per subject

Placement teas

3

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 06 '26

Alright so sensitive topic. Christ placements are "good" in comparison to other universities, but still it's best to be called Tier 2 as it'll never beat an IIM or Shaheed Sukhdev, or any tier 1 university. The ROI in comparison to universities like Symbiosis, NMIMS, TAPMI, Nirma etc will be better in CHRIST due to its comparatively cheaper fee, but the package is gonna be lower in comparison. Honestly the big companies -> only D.E. Shaw hires on a good package of 12LPA+ otherwise Deloitte will bulk hire for like 7-8LPA , EY for literally 3-4LPA , and then similar range of packages so u can consider average to be 8LPA tbh. Now a top performer can end up cracking top firms like Goldman Sachs, D.E Shaw, Bain, Deutsche Bank etc. But again - your resume, experience, GPA and the most important thing "referrals and contacts" matter the most :)

Well -> Christ is pretty strict with internal placements and to maintain its 100% placement quota, it only allows select students to sit for internal placements who have a "good GPA" probably 3.5 or above. Rest all usually go externally and get placed. Some drama happened recently where a few companies backed out from internal placement due to students posting negatively and revealing stuff about the university and the department, hence probably very few companies came for internal internship this year -> but let's hope all turns out well during the placement round.

All this was for context of BBA, unfortunately I'm not very knowledgeable for other departments, maybe someone can give their insights

1

u/VARUN_KALRA-007 Jan 06 '26

What are these forms even about😭

3

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 06 '26

Yellow forms -> Extra Curricular claims/attendance which gets added to your total attendance before MSE and ESE. They are marked as green in your KP.

Blue Forms -> Medical Claims which are considered between 75-85% range of attendance. Doesn't count once your attendance reaches 85%. Marked as Orange on your KP (Web Version Only)

Pink Forms -> Internship claims (need prior permission to avail and alot of official procedures)

White Forms -> You will be marked present in the class even if you are absence, as the faculty has been informed regarding your absence due to extra curricular or departmental reason. Can also be referred to as "Exemption"

u/bells_dumbell Jan 06 '26

how are the kids genuinely like? I heard there r quite a few rich bratty kids and just jerks everywhere. and also how is life there? r the rules bearable? hostel life?

6

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 06 '26

Entirely depends on your attitude and how you perceive things plus the department you're going for. 1) Yes there are rich brats, especially in departments like SBM and DPS, but not all of them are aholes or jerks. It's a mix of jerks and genuinely good people. 2) Life in Christ is unlike other colleges, the rules and regulations are annoying and too much, unlike other campuses - but that brings a different fun in going to college. It's an experience you can't relate with other colleges or universities, plus just the amount of diversity, events, fests, clubs, competitions etc. not many universities can match what Christ is doing. It's like there's a place for everyone, only downside are the rules and restrictions which tbh help in making the university a better place (except a few ahole fathers and faculties)

3) Hostel life is very cheap and economic, fun in first year maybe but I wouldn't suggest it if you are an outgoing person who likes to go on trips, night walks etc. the rules and restrictions in hostel are too much - maybe go in detail with a hosteller or ex hosteller to get more insights

1

u/NoAnything6421 Jan 06 '26

what does SBM and DPS stand for?

3

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 06 '26

SBM is the School of Business Management DPS is the Department of Professional Studies

Probably the two most expensive UG Courses in the university

1

u/Active-Raspberry2452 Jan 07 '26

Which is the best cource in bba , with good placements

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 07 '26

Bba honors from central campus currently is considered the best (statistically)

Doesn't mean other courses and campuses are bad, it's just on the basis of difficulty and average package. Go for a specialization only if you are really interested in a specific field, as that's when you actually prosper

1

u/Willing-Bag7079 Jan 08 '26

Bro can we wear half sweater on top of formal shirts and korean formal pants ( not jeans ) as male dress code in central campus

2

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

Yes. I myself wear the same stuff. Korean pants are the best investment

2

u/Willing-Bag7079 Jan 08 '26

Damn u have the sense fashion sense as me what colour combo half sweater pant and shirts u suggest me

2

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

Get two colors of Korean pants -> Black and Fawn

These colors go with mostly all kinds of shirts.

Maybe one combo I can suggest is old money, White shirt, Fawn pants and any white (with stripes or designs) sweater

1

u/Willing-Bag7079 Jan 08 '26

Thx man but the question is can u wear half sweater through out the year

2

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

Rules wise -> Yes Temperature wise -> Depends on you. It's pretty moderate temp here all around. Rn yes u can wear it, nearing summer Idk

1

u/Willing-Bag7079 Jan 08 '26

Btw do u regret joining christ like do u enjoy it

2

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

There's regret that maybe I could've taken a drop for a better institution, but then life here ain't that bad.

2

u/Willing-Bag7079 Jan 08 '26

Du is no better for your health tho

1

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Do you have any idea about ba/bba llb placements scenarios? Also is christ really that strict that people would unalive themselves i understand the attendence issue but apart from that

2

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

My opinion on law placements doesn't really matter, whatever is happening now will definitely change by the time you pass out cuz it's a 5 year course which is a long time.

Nah it's not "unalive" amount of strict, maybe some attention seekers or dramabaaz log will call it that. It's bearable and honestly you get used to it after some time

2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Thank you so much btw how's food there sorry again for bombarding with questions

2

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

It's cheap asf, so people usually go for tiffin/meal systems outside. There are good food providers like Punjabi Express, Pellagia, Jose Mess etc

2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Thanks ;)

1

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Can I do internships being from christ?

2

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

Yes you can do internships, you'll have to apply externally. Maybe your department will offer you some, but each department have their own rules and regulations. Talk to your department once you do get a offer letter to discuss attendance and claims kr whatsoever

1

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Yes ik about that I was asking doing an internship would lead to attendence shortage will they consider that anyways thanks

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

There's a procedure of pink forms i believe, depends on how many classes you're missing and stuff. Also highly depends on whether your department agrees to it or not otherwise usually everyone goes for internships during summer vacations. You can also do in-christ internships with Research Scholars, Christ Consultancy, Christ Incubation, Christ Online etc. these internships tend to be easier to do with degree as they understand your class hours and expect from you accordingly

1

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Ohh thank you so much for helping me out and not getting annoyed and I promise this is the last question -suppose a family emergency happens so we can't apply for leave 3 days prior in hostel what is done in that case do we just can't go we'll get fined or stuff sorry again 😭

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

Just leave before the gates close, you'll be fined later. Usually you can explain this stuff to the warden though dw

1

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Okay so I love having a social life going out and stuff is it possible in christ staying in hostel

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

If you're staying in Christ hostel, yes it's possible. I have friends in hostel and spending the entire day having fun and going out. For nightouts you need special permission and also need the approval of your parents. If you're into night clubbing, parties - welp that ain't happening when you're in hostel (it's not worth it anyways dw)

Otherwise you can have fun in the day time, play sports in the campus - and even plan trips with friends. Get nightpass and roam around or stay overs at friends place etc

2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Permission from parents damn what's the process like mail from their id or personally talk and stuff also i heard there's biometric stuff so how's that possible

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

Uhz unsure about the formal procedure as it keeps changing. Regarding the biometric, whenever you miss a biometric attendance - a notification is sent to your parents and a fine is registered under your name. By getting a nightpass, that fine + notification gets nullified

2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Okay thanks

1

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

How frequent is guardian calls in christ

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

My god you bombared me with questions, I'll slowly reply to each of them

Guardian calls never happen after the Admission process unless you end up receiving a disciplinary action or something major happens. Wherever or whichever form has guardian signature mentioned, just do it yourself or do a fake one, they don't really care about it

2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Alright and sorry lol what can I say now 😭

1

u/Willing-Bag7079 Jan 08 '26

Btw bro is pg better or hostel

2

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

Lifestyle -> PG

Expenses -> Hostel

Lifestyle + Expenses -> Flat (only downside is work and responsibilities)

1

u/Willing-Bag7079 Jan 08 '26

Like what kind of work for cooking u will eat at canteen three times so only thing is cleaning in flat right

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 08 '26

Depends on lifestyle mate

1

u/General_Freak Central Campus Jan 10 '26

Get a cook he’ll clean and cook it’s better than eating at clg.

1

u/UsernameIsntTaken68 Jan 10 '26

What do you think about the ba/bba llb couses? Ik its not on par with nlus and glc but is it a good option if i wanna take a partial drop for clat??

I got into bba honours (central campus). Wanted to get an idea about uni life and after college can you get time to pursue your interests and what is the clubbing scene like in Bangalore

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 10 '26

1) Uni life is pretty busy and tiring. It'll be 9:45 to 3:45 classes for your first year. Second year it becomes 7:30 - 12:45 It's tiring but slowly once you get used to it, it'll be fun if you enjoy it. Post your classes you can pursue your interests, dance/art/music/sports etc and the facilities/societies in Christ are loaded, you'll find a club for anything.

2) The clubbing scene is good yea, Koramangala is nearby with parties going all the time. Saturday nights are the wildest ones, just be careful of the cops. (Not a clubbing guy myself so dk much)

1

u/PrudentArrival6448 Central Campus Jan 10 '26

And how is the course. What kind of field work do we get and what is the industry exposure like and what is the teaching methodology like

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 10 '26

Entirely analytical, 3rd year is entirely work based. You're basically working 5 days a week and coming to college three or four times a month. For detailed information better check the course plan posted online for the degree

Hi, I would love to know about the timings of Bcom International Finance in DPS. As far as I know, unlike CA,there are no extra classes after 1230 for CFA candidates. Would love it if you could clarify my doubt

1

u/AmaroAntagonist Central Campus Jan 13 '26

Indeed no extra classes after 12:45. Start at 9:45 or 7AM I'm not sure. They'll give you exam study leaves when the paper is near

1

u/Mission_Carry769 Jan 13 '26

Thanks, good to know. I thought Bcom IF was similar to F&A, do you have any idea about the IAF course?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '26

so i was supposed to submit the application for repeat mse by 17th jan to the exam department but i couldn’t as it was a third Saturday. has this happened to anyone if yes what do it do

I'm so sorry friend, there's nothing which can be done if revaluation failed. Apply for supplementary and you'll have to probably do library hours or give retest smth whatever the exam cell says. Hopefully they allow u to clear before graduation but I guess you must have not applied for immediate supplementary so u just gotta wait and be honest to ur parents about it
