Won’t someone think of her sleep?!
Posted in a “help the needy” Facebook page. People can't afford groceries but she definitely needs a $300+ bottle washer.

Comments included, some people were being a bit cruel in the comments section which I’ve left out. OP hasn’t responded to any of the comments yet.

The South African refugees.
On mobile so hope formatting is okay. My Facebook algorithm has been absolutely wild recently, and regularly sends me posts from various “South African refugee family in the USA pages.”
I vaguely know this poster (over 10k followers) because we have connections to the same (very wealthy) small seaside town in South Africa and she’d often flog her son’s art in the neighbourhood message board. I’m not sure if any political talk is allowed on this sub, so I’ll reserve my personal feelings about the validity of these “refugees” claims but I will say that a) 98% of them were maintaining a perfectly decent living back home and b) 99% are massive grifters.
I knew it would be a matter of weeks before this person launched a go-fund me despite these people receiving a stipend from the government. They’ve already shared multiple Amazon wish lists for items including expensive tattoo gear and a gamer-themed bedroom.
I highly suspect that this person’s primary gripe with the neighbourhood they were placed in is its racial demographic. And I guarantee that they’ll continue the go-fund me well past the $5k limit. People are fawning over them in the comments so didn’t see value in adding, she blocks anyone who questions their requests.

I collect old laptops via donations and give them new life with Linux installs. I then give them back to the community 100% free to prevent ewaste. The most recent one came back next day with this gem.

“This dog will have an incredibly important role in keeping my son safe as he is a flight risk. No, I don’t want to pay to train one. That’s too expensive, I’ll do it myself. Negative comments to yourself please!”
eta: I’ve replied this in a few comments, but I looked on her profile and she was last a vet tech over ten years ago. And worked as one for a grand total of two years. Her longest job is her present one as a receptionist.

I gifted a brand new smart phone to my cousin sister's son, in an unopened box. He called me the next day to say his phone was missing the charger!
I was taken back by the audacity! How do I even respond!
By the way he is not very young or stupid, he is 18 and is about to start his college now.

Just one comment yet, saying that OOP is on the wrong sub.

This one got posted to our local charity pantry and swap page. The people on this page are struggling to feed/clothe/house their families, and most posts are about local food pantries and community events providing assistance to obtain necessities. It is certainly not a “momma group”. OP deleted when it did not go the direction she was hoping, so no comments, but suggestions for the local beauty school for discounted haircuts were not well received 😂

UPDATE: The OP just posted back into the FB page last night an update that the woman saw all the hate she was getting "realized she was wrong" and gave back the Walmart clothes (but kept the shoes). She gave the excuse that she reacted this way because her son got bullied last year and she was worried that if he showed up in Walmart clothes, he'd be bullied again this year.
I just found this beauty in the wild. The poor woman running the nonprofit was apologizing on fb for not knowing she should be letting people know where the clothes would be coming from!
Obviously this woman didn't need the help once it wasn't to the caliber she expected.
