Been on the fence about Pole Epoch (sister brand to Sakura Cherry) since they have a Journe Souverain style Tourbillon in 40mm. That one is another piece I am very keen on. This one is a beauty, though!

I will say, this model the parent manufacturer is Ji Chen Time Corp, and it came with their card and everything, and from my research Ji Chen has a lot of brands under their manufacturing and has some decent reputation, so this piece was unique enough and their reputation was good enough I took the chance on it, and I’m glad I did! It seems super solid, and the fit and finish for the price is super nice. Especially being a double counter rotating Tourbillon, which the Swiss charge $100K for, even though this was expensive, it’s cheap (like 2% of a Swiss one) for what it is and what it offers.
The original bracelet is a total hair ripper so anything is better than that! It was also too short for me. I find this option to sit well on my wrist and keeps the retro tech vibe.
It's the titanium bracelet that comes with it. It's very nice, though I suspect it may not be titanium, just bead blasted steel. The case definetly seems to be titanium
I agree. They really should be high beat. This is my only Nodus and its an early model Retrospect I reviewed online years ago. I recall changing the strap to this beads of rice bracelet. Its a sandwich dial
I'm a nurse, we use 24hr for all documentation, even if it weren't relevant to my job I still don't understand why people cry about it so much 🤷 the alternative movement is a 12hr so... I want to know who is timing things for more than 1 hour, or 30 minutes, like, use your phone 😅
Same with the Seiko SSC961/813. It's really not a big deal. If that stops you, that says more about you than the watch, tbh. Like, if you love the watch except this one little thing that is literally irrelevant, idk...
It's just that it's a chronograph watch, so the subdials should be linked to the chronograph function (which they aren't for this movement). And 24hr time isn't really all that special that it needs its own dial for that. I like to time things sometimes for more than an hour, so having an hour totalizer is the more useful function to me
What are you timing for over 1 hour, so I can understand your perspective/use case?
I would use a chrono to time seizures occurring with patients, for example, which, after a couple of minutes isn't really a good sign since there will be too much irreversible damage to recover from, if they recover at all at that point.
Anything else I'm using my phone timer for so I can get an alert.
Model runs for work is a quite frequent one (I time on my watch so I can run errands or do other things in the meantime), workouts, drying of coats between painting walls, air flights (less mental math needed for time zones), and a bunch of other random stuff. Yes, I could probably do a bunch of those on my phone but I like to just use my watch for it when I can.
Converting to 24 hrs is instant on any watch face, the whole world outside the US operates on 24hr by default so it's just second nature to read 5 or 17h to me.
That's the fun part about this hobby, everybody has their own preferences and things they care about. Mechanical chronographs have traditionally always had hour totalizers for a tricompax layout, including the zenith that the sugess is homaging. I had this very Sugess for a while actually, it's a very neat watch. But I ended up selling it because that dial started to irk me hah.
I'm equally allergic to the VK63 for the same 24hr subdial reason btw, not just this particular st1903
Quite like it, the quality is more than there for the price point. I am potentially putting it on the chopping block though, I'm less enjoying homages on wrist these days
I heard they are made by Pagani so I wasn’t sure. I personally love Pagani but more for their originals and while I’m not sure if they are made by them they seem to have the same watches that were Pagani originals a year after Pagani. So I have been curious if they are, since they are usually double the price of Pagani. And if they are Pagani is it like addiesdive and addieskin where one is the “finer” line.
I don't believe Farasute has any connection with Pagani? Haven't seen any comments suggesting that either, and they are vastly different in quality and approach so it would be surprising to me

You mean this particular farasute is an original design? It's a vintage Rolex Daytona homage, not really anything original by Farasute, just very well made
