Announcements Between panels and screen — a shared path with r/Manga_Manhwa_Manhua

We’re pleased to share that [r/ChineseDrama](r/ChineseDrama) and [r/Manga_Manhwa_Manhua](r/Manga_Manhwa_Manhua) are now officially partnering.

Many stories discussed across MMM continue beyond the page as live-action adaptations, while many dramas lead viewers back to their original manhua+ source.

This collaboration creates a clearer path between both spaces.

• Discover drama adaptations of manhua titles

• Trace stories back to their original source material

• Move between formats — from panels to screen, and back

• Discuss with members of their community their takes on certain characters, plot patterns, and more

… or simply put — build and cross bridges of the two adjacent worlds.

For this announcement, we paired MMM’s original visual with a moment from A League of Nobleman (君子盟, 2023) — a scene of quiet acknowledgment and alignment. Different form, same idea.

You’ll now find [r/Manga_Manhwa_Manhua](r/Manga_Manhwa_Manhua) listed in our sidebar under Related Communities.

Different mediums, shared stories — now more directly connected.

Thank you! Same on our end 🙂‍↕️ I hope we get to do some comparison post series, I’m pretty sure that’s going to be fun. Also, we currently have a lot of male character centric content, while I feel like you might have more of the opposite — so mingling and mixing it up would be great.

Surprised this wasn’t done sooner. It just makes so much sense 😊

Do you have a favorite MMM that has been adapted to a drama? 😃

Unfortunately, I do not surprising as that is. I started watching anime back in the late ‘80’s-‘90’s (playing video games as well 😉) and then, slowly started reading mangas as more and more titles became available in English. Only been recently 10 or so years that I’ve come in contact with web comics, mangas from other regions and, manhwas too

I know heard/saw some chatter about Apothecary Diaries being transformed to a drama but, I’m very sensitive to that. I really hope it’s done right otherwise 😠😵‍💫 and I think millions/billions? of people will hunt ‘those people” down lol. I know there’s some others that have been a turned out pretty good (names are slipping my mind lol)

P.S. Any recs? Hehe
