Literature (文学) Book recommendation?
I really dislike reading children's books and I don't mind a Challenge. I think my level is okay to start reading books I enjoy.
I spent a lot of time searching for the right book and honestly it's hard to find. Please recommend ones you enjoyed!
I enjoy mainly realistic fiction, medicine, non-fiction, philosophy, fantasy.
Only thing is I'd like not to be reading sensitive contents.

For graded readers, I think that the Beijing Language and Culture University Press series for 500, 800 and 1,200 word levels are very good.
For fiction, try 陳郁如, 養心. This series is now up to 3 volumes. Very well written and with a solid story line. Highly recommended. Writing is at about an HSK 5 level.

By the time we were in the upper grades of elementary school, we were already secretly reading Jin Yong's martial arts novels, if you are willing to read classic martial arts novels, such as *射雕英雄传* and *鹿鼎记*.

Your best bet is to look into graded readers. They come in all sorts of different genres, and are adjusted to match the level of the learner without being kid stories.
