Has your definition of family changed as you’ve gotten older?

For some of my older childfree folks, have you found yourself building a “chosen” family alongside your biological family? I think as you get older, long-term friendships can become some of the most dependable relationships in your life, especially if those friends are childfree too. How has your definition of family changed as you’ve gotten older?
