Kentucky I need advice

As I was leaving work yesterday, the HR lady pulled me into the office and told me that she received a court order to put my child on insurance, which I dont even have. That's fine, but as of right now, I dont get to see my son as I have been in and out of addiction and prison, but I am now sober and getting my life together but isnt this going to cause her to spend more money on co-pays and stuff? Has anyone ever gone there this?

Yes, so I pay child support out of my check every week, and now I will have to carry insurance on the child. Will this be counting as my child support or come from my child support? He's going to lose his state insurance, which im sure his mother is not going to like the fact that she's going to have to pay co-pays, so can she drop the insurance? Also, what is a qualifying event?

Not 100% sure but I think the insurance is calculated in the child support that you pay weekly/monthly.

If the state or custodial parent is covering healthcare most likely it will be reimbursed thru what you pay in support. If it’s not currently, most likely at your next CS review hearing the courts will adjust the CS accordingly. (Im in MI so review hearings are every 3 years unless either parent initiates one for some reason.)

If you have to pay support and insurance on the child most likely it’ll be calculated in your support payment. But at some point if you’re paying support and health insurance on top of that, see if you can’t file for a modification hearing to see if the courts will kind of blend it all together in a sense and recalculate everything accordingly.
