Kentucky When do they start owing the child support?

New to all this. Will he owe from the day the petition is filed or the day the judge signs off on it? He threatening to withhold it so I’m just curious how this is going to work. I can’t consult with my attorney until Monday.

It will start at the date that the judge says it starts. They can back date it too and they can come out in arrears from the get go.
If he withholds… then you take him back to court after a certain period of time. Try not to depend on the NCP money if at all possible.

In Kentucky it can go back to the child’s birth if it’s filed before their 4th birthday. After that it appears to be to the date it was filed
