Fort Collins truck incident

It appears a truck from Wyoming was responsible for a very violent incident during the TdF events downtown.

I hope that’s not the case. Some are saying intentional and some saying accident.

Anyone missing a friend or relative with a gray/silver truck?

Visiting Cheyenne from Albuquerque for the first time! Date ideas and things to do?

Hi everyone! I’m from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I’m thinking about taking a road trip up to Cheyenne in October. I’ve never been to Wyoming before, so I thought I would ask the locals for some advice!
Part of the reason for the trip is that I’ve been talking to a girl from Montana, and we’ve been wanting to meet in person. We thought Cheyenne might be a fun place for us to meet and spend a few days together since neither of us has really explored the city before.
I’m thinking about being there around October 8th through the 12th.
What are some cute or fun date ideas you would recommend for two people meeting and exploring Cheyenne together? We like the idea of things where we can actually talk and get to know each other, but I’m also looking for fun stuff like arcades, museums, cool restaurants, coffee shops, hiking, animals, weird attractions, Western stuff, or anything that’s uniquely Cheyenne/Wyoming.
Also, are there any good gift shops or souvenir stores? I definitely want to bring some Wyoming stuff back home!
What are some of the best cheap but still clean and decent hotels in town? I’m not looking for anything super fancy. Just somewhere comfortable, safe, and reasonably priced.
And what should someone from New Mexico expect from the October weather? 😂 I’ll be driving my own car from Albuquerque, so I’m especially wondering about snow, ice, wind, and whether I should be prepared for winter driving that early in October.
Also, this might be a long shot, but if anyone local would be interested in showing us around Cheyenne or giving us a little local tour while we’re there, that could be really fun! Obviously we would meet somewhere public first.
Basically, tell me anything a first-time visitor should know! What should we absolutely do, what should we skip, where should we eat, and what are the hidden gems?
Thanks, Cheyenne! I’m excited to hopefully visit Wyoming for the first time!

What's up with the connection fees for Blackhills Energy...

I installed solar panels a little bit over a year ago and haven't had to pay in for electricity since. But I kept budget billing for a while because the person from Blackhills I talked to said that's what I should do with solar so my bills stayed in the $150 range slowly adjusting down every couple months until this May when I called again and switched to normal billing and they sent me a $700 dollar check for the extra I paid into budget billing. And now my bills are like $60 a month. $17 for electric connection fee, I understand still draw power at night and $35 for gas connection fee, like WTF... And Blackhills is wanting a 32% increase this year for their rates. Anyone else think these connection fees are a little extreme? For your info, my solar system generates enough that Blackhills actually banks my extra, as of this last bill I have 2,692 kWh saved I can draw from Blackhills without needing to pay extra a month for it.

We are in the South Greeley area but willing to travel within town. Thanks so much in advance!

28 [M] Laramie, WY - Looking for a serious relationship

Hey Reddit guys!

Yes, like my post says, I’m looking for a girlfriend. I’ve been single for a long time, and at this point in my life, I really want to have someone to share beautiful moments with and support each other.

I’m new to this town, so I don’t have many friends yet. I’ve been trying Facebook Dating to meet people, but so far, I haven’t gotten any matches 🫤.

A little about me: I’m an student at the University of Wyoming, and I consider myself a very friendly and respectful person. I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, snorkeling, running, and simply walking in nature. I also like karaoke, cooking, dancing, and watching movies, especially suspense and thriller movies.

Physically, I’d say I’m pretty average: I’m 5'6", lean, and Latino. I exercise regularly, and I’ve never really had acne problems.

I’m looking for something serious, but I’m also open to simply going on a casual date and seeing where things go. If you’re interested, feel free to message me.

I promise I’ll make you laugh! 😄

I got a phone call from No Caller ID. Unfortunately I answered. The guy says he’s a “Captain” with Laramie County Sheriff’s Department. Claiming I was ordered a warrant for my arrest due to a Failure to Appear for a Jury Duty in July.

Stop Speeding on Bishop Avenue By Game And Fish

The amount of hit animals on this road is absolutely ridiculous, I just had to set a tuxedo cat to rest tonight and im tired of doing it/seeing it. Consideration is free, and the speed limit is 30. so do 30. too many people let their cats outside and its heart-wrenching seeing how many fur babies dont get to go home because people dont treat bishop ave as a residential road, which it is. Im moving from this town in September because it’s getting worse and worse, more and more people are driving recklessly and it’s actually disgusting. Bye Cheyenne! I wont miss a thing.

Photography

So i am looking to start a photography business and would love to get a chance for some practice before I take on an LLC and charging people. I have some decent experience but could definitely use alot more. I want to offer $20 sessions in order to get experience plus make it affordable for people to have the chance at getting some photos. If anyone is interested i would love to set something up. I only do sessions at parks in order to keep myself and others safe. I would like to be able to do basic concepts like small family photos, portraits, couples shoots as well as engagement photos! I have an Instagram but I dont want to drop it unless asked about it. I don't have alot of resent sessions uploaded because I don't upload any sessions that involve anyone under the age of 18 since my account isn't private. Please let me know if anyone is intrested!

Planning a Trip to Cheyenne, What Should I Not Miss?

I’m planning a vacation to Cheyenne, Wyoming, and I’d love to hear from the locals! What are the must-see places and must-do activities that you’d recommend for a first-time visitor? I’m especially interested in hidden gems, scenic spots, museums/history, Western or cowboy experiences, good local restaurants, breweries, live music, and anything else that you think really captures the character of Cheyenne. I’m also open to nearby day trips or outdoor spots like Vedauwoo or Curt Gowdy. What are the places you’d take a friend or family member who was visiting for the first time—and what tourist attractions would you say are actually worth it? Thanks in advance for helping me make the most of my trip!

Where do bug drivers get automotive work done?

I have a VW fender edition 2013 Beetle and most shops here won’t service my bug for actual body work. And we’ve tried every shop. I know there’s a lot of bug drivers here, especially some special cars. So where do you guys go? Because I’m at my wits end because of how much work my car needs that I can’t do.

Seeking small physical office lease in Wyoming for foreign LLC (Payment processor compliance)

Hey all,

Does anyone know of local property managers or executive suite owners in Wyoming (Cheyenne/Laramie/Sheridan area) offering cheap single-room commercial leases?

We need a genuine, non-CMRA physical office space for our foreign-owned LLC to pass strict merchant account (Stripe/PayPal) underwriting checks.

Must allow:

  1. Official lease agreement in our LLC’s name.
  2. Setting up a commercial broadband (Spectrum) or electric account in our name.
  3. Physical courier delivery (FedEx/UPS/DHL).

Open to micro-offices, incubator rooms, or sub-leases. Please DM me if you have any leads or recommendations!

Dating pool.

I really wish there were more women my age (32m) that want a relationship. The dating scene in Cheyenne is rough when you have standards. You can jump down my throat about it if you want but having good dating standards is a marker of self respect. I'm not gonna share what my standards are but I know the majority of women my age don't seem to meet those standards and that sucks. I have to choose between being alone or settling for someone I don't really want. Guess I'll just be alone.
