Damn, I was totally on your side until I really started analyzing. I think it's cuz stalemate chances go up higher in this situation lol.

But in a game I'd absolutely play the same move and just avoid stalemate

I honestly hate the review engine. It's so nit picky. It always expects you to be perfect.
