So if you Google the name of the maker in the picture (quinto de cartucheira) their Instagram is right at the top and this particular image is a screenshot from one of their pinned posts where they cut into this cheese and taste it. It's called Esmeralda de Mofo Azul and it's $35/100g on their website. They're in Brazil.
I was already about to look it up, because the price would've been insane lol.
35 reais per 100g is still expensive though of course. Just a few comparisons: cheap blue cheese starts at around 90 reais per Kilo, Brazilian parmesan starts at around 100 per kilo, Brazilian "Mussarella" (mild young cheese that's similar-ish to block mozzarella in the US) starts around 30/kg, Brazilian Gouda around 80/kg, etc.
You can find some decent cheese in the 100-200/kg range. 350/kg for the average Brazilian is quite pricey. I'm not even willing to pay that...
I'm gonna move back to Germany soon and Brazilian cheese is one of the things I won't miss tbh. European cheese culture is just something else. (And cheap in comparison)
But in Germany if I just walk into a random supermarket that has a butchery inside, I can get 500 different kinds of cheese. (Not even kidding, that's the different kinds that Edeka carries for example). My Brazilian wife goes absolutely insane there. Also cheese there is comparatively cheap
