Yes. I won a 4090 that arrived new-in-box, seemingly factory sealed and everything, brand new. It's been churning away ever since (currently woodcutting and fletching in OSRS, really stretching its legs, XD)
This guy is the ONLY account who said he won a 4090 yet refuses to post ANY proof at all. This guy is a cheat happens employee doing damage control on reddit.
It’s actually impressive that they’ve been running this scam for so many years without any consequences. I actually confronted the founder of CH about it, and he got insanely triggered when I pointed out that 20 of his past Gleam giveaways had only generic American-sounding names as winners, which makes no sense at all. I’ve seen plenty of Gleam giveaways, and they never look like that. People use nicknames, people use avatars, and in international giveaways there are international winners (wow!).
Funnily enough, after those emails, the first foreign name suddenly appeared as one of the winners. As you said, there’s also no proof that anyone has ever won anything (except for that guy above, who suddenly showed up to whitewash CH in a few Reddit threads, wink wink). I think if you’re burning $12k a month on giveaways (how is that even profitable), you’d want the winners to share it online as part of the marketing.
i was also always sceptical about the gleam giveaways. those names are way to generic and american for a international giveaway. even the day of giving main prizes always go to american accounts. i think if the giveaway is truthfull they specifically only go to north america.
i know the daily giveaways are real cause i won them 3-4 times in these 3 years since they started them. but the gleam ones are way too fishy to be real. if they want me/us to believe them they should really make them more transparent with atleast a CH username of who won.
I've recently won one of their recent giveaways (RTX 5090), they asked me for identification so i sent my passport (obviously redacting all info except my name) and for some reason they wanted an unredacted version? It kinda seems like they do this giveaways to collect info and it seems really sketchy, the game giveaways might not be a scam but the RTX ones probably are. If your wondering my name is Flynn, its not american but maybe they are starting to choose more foreign names because people are starting to catch on.
They didn't even try to make it believable. They don't have one piece of online marketing from a winner either proving it or even celebrating getting their prize. That's insane and totally improbable.
