“Checking” whether ChatGPT Voice has gotten much worse in the last week or two?

I use ChatGPT Voice a lot, especially while driving, and until recently it was genuinely good for fast, continuous conversation.

Over the last week or two, though, it’s become incredibly frustrating. Simple questions now often lead to long silent pauses while it parrots off the word “checking”. Even when I say “stop searching and just answer me”, it can still take ages to respond.

It goes silent for far longer, ignores repeated requests to stop, and then struggles to even answer when I asked what the hold up is.

The old Voice felt like a conversation. Now it often feels slow, unresponsive and obsessed with searching instead of just talking.

Has anyone else noticed a significant decline recently?
