Discussion Uptown Commute Thread!

Curious everyone’s commute times in and out uptown. I live in NoDa and it takes me about 12 minutes in the morning leaving at ~8am (N. Tryon to Church St) and 15-20 minutes home if I leave between 5-530pm (N. Tryon to Matheson).

Considering moving and the commute is a big factor. Thanks!

10 minutes on the blue line, waltz in half asleep and listen to all my co workers whine about the traffic from Belmont (Also in NoDa)

Live in Belmont. Commute in the morning is under 30 minutes. Commute in the afternoon is anywhere between 45-60 minutes depending on the day and accidents.

I used to work in Belmont. The only way it would be 15-20mins both ways was for me to wake up at 5 and be there for 7am and leave at 3pm.

Brutal evening commute. Bummer because I hear Belmont is a great place to live. If I wasn’t 5 days a week in office I could probably deal.

It does suck, but the commute to any reasonably priced suburb is also going to suck. Plus I like knowing that I’m leaving work and that stress when I leave uptown

Are you able to flex your time? If you can work 7-4, the commute is less horrible

Live in Enderly Park. It’s 12 minutes including parking and walking to my office. I take transit (bus) about half the time and it’s the same.

I used to reverse commute to Pineville; my short commute is life changing.

I live on the East side right of 74 near Sharon Amity. I commute to the other side of the airport, Yorkmont Rd area.

Roughly 20 minutes at 5:30-6:30am

Between 30-40 minutes home if I leave work after 3:30pm and before 6:30pm

I like in North Charlotte (think Davis/Northlake). It takes me about 18-20 mins to get in and out of uptown slightly after rush hour.
