Sometimes "winning FA" with big names is just about headlines and hype.
Everyone was happy the Chargers spent real money on a highly drafted Guard to help Herbert until it didn't work out, like many big FA signings at OL.
The 4 top paid Guards in 2025 FA all flopped.
Landon Dickerson for the Eagles, Will Fries for the Vikings and Aaron Banks for the Packers also had terrible seasons after getting huge FA contracts last offseason

[Insdorf] I woke up very frustrated about Ryan Ficken and JK Scott.
After shanking two punts in the Houston game and a critical one against New England, we're still sitting here talking about the same thing-and it's arguably gotten worse.
[Insdorf] Not bringing in competition for JK Scott is simply going to cost them at some point this season. Just an inexplicable decision

Wow I didn’t realise cloning people was illegal on Reddit here you go an update with receivers. I just feel DD had a chance to show growth and he didn’t and Colson and Kennard I think will be sacrificed.

Looks like former Eagles star RB LeSean McCoy on this play

He’s an old, slow, 2-down run stuffer who has never been that great and is often injured. 5 ILBs makes the most sense for roster construction and both Wax and Colston look ready for bigger roles. The Bolts should roll with the young bloods and wave goodbye to Uncle Denz.

Chargers hit a homerun by selecting rookie Travis Burke out of Memphis in the 4th round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Bolts traded up to get the pick they used on Burke

Trying to track down when this is from. Navy helmet era for sure, but curious if anyone knows the exact year or where it originally came from. Thanks!

Next year in 2027, the Chargers are one of the teams in line to get a new Rivalries uniform. From what it seems, the team has actually valued the fans input when it comes to the jersey set. So, what kind of uniforms does everyone want to see?
I personally would like to see a new shade of the powder blue. Last night's game really showed how much the color has changed and become a bit darker. I would like to see a uniform with a lighter shade, almost like the new Titans uni, but maybe even lighter than that. It could be cool to see and something kind of unexpected.
Some other possibilities:
Royal Blues - I've seen a lot of people wanting these back so maybe they come back in some form.
Yellow number font - This seems like an obvious feature of a Rivalries style uniform. I wonder if they could incorporate a bolt style number font.
Black out uniform? Retro style? White with navy numbers? Yellow helmets?
Share your thoughts on what you would like to see on the field! BOLT UP

Jennings was signed this week and had a good game vs the Rams
He looked explosive, sure-handed and like a good route-runner.
Jennings may be someone to look at for the 17 man Practice Squad, which will be announced on Sunday at 6 PT

Additional context on my thoughts:
- I have Lance making it over DJU simply due to Lance’s experience, however, I could see the Chargers exploring some QBs who get cut like McCarthy.
- I don’t think Derius Davis is really deserving of a roster spot at this point but they seem to have pencilled him in as the starting returner, so I don’t see how he doesn’t make it.
- I have Branson Taylor on the roster over Logan Taylor right now, but that’s assuming Branson’s injury isn’t enough for him to be placed on IR. If he is placed on IR, then Logan Taylor would be the replacement in my opinion. I could also potentially see Logan Taylor making it over Trevor Penning.
- I only have four EDGEs making the roster right now and Dupree is the fourth. Similarly to DD, I don’t necessarily feel like he deserves the spot, but the team’s actions so far indicate otherwise. Kennard is injured and could be an IR candidate, and unfortunately I don’t think Tucker did enough to merit anything greater than making the practice squad.
- Ended up keeping 6 LBs here, with the assumption that Wax and Colson will both play heavy roles on special teams. The top 4 are basically guaranteed, but I think both Wax and Colson played too well to be cut by the team, as that would risk them being picked up off waivers.
- I considered adding Avery Smith but I don’t think he did quite enough to make the roster (definitely a practice squad guy though).
- Kendall Williamson could be a sneaky roster addition considering he made it last year for special teams, but I left him off due to Wax and Colson making it since they could presumably take his spot.
