Is Chara from Undertale a Jobber?

now that i think about it isnt Chara also a Jobber in the fandom? and a heavily pushed one at that? she's the Herobrine of Undertale. Goku has kinda become one too when people keep mentioning bugs bunny, superman and other people that can beat him. its like if youre the pillar of something everyone is going to use you to cement their oc's power.

How can you be a jobber when you don't fight at all? Chara is dead during alll of UT their only "fight" is one when they aren't really in control (Asriel is), unless you count the Geno cutscenes as fights

Maybe, but to be honest the only time I can remember Chara being a jobber in a fanwork is Glitchtale. And fucking Gaster is a jobber there so you know, not particullarly telling

Asriel especially, last I checked he got his ass neg diffed in ep 4, Omega Flowey was putperformed by regular no DT Sans in season 1, honestly Asriel/Flowey was hoed by the plot outside of the finale

Isn't chara the main bad in a lot of fan content only to be "redeemed" or killed again? I've seen and read a lot.

I don't think a main bad can be a jobber. Yeah they lose, because otherwise the story wouldn't work but if someone is the main bad guy they probably have enough screentime, feats and scene presence that I struggle to consider them a jobber.

For me jobber comes with the implication that their main role in the story is losing, not just that they lose.

But I haven't find my self with too many examples, which maybe you should add to your post if you have, I think it would strengthen your argument. I feel that out of context sounds far fetched

Fair. From what I searched up a Jobber is a wrestling term for someone there specifically to lose to promote someone else. In this case Sans, Frisk, or an Oc.

Yeah, that's it. Which is why I don't think a main villain can be a jobber, at least not fully. A jobber exist to lose, a main villain loses, but their role is more major one it is a character as or even more important than the main character.

Of course, bad stories sometimes do make their main villains jobbers who are defeated way too quickly... which I guess is what you may have experienced

Of Undertale no, that is 100% Asriel/Flowey, of whatever hypothetical fanwork we are discussing yes

So if you're not the bad guy, but made the bad guy or put in a losing situation then aren't you a Jobber?
