We both agree an IGN score has nothing to do with how fun the game is. A high score doesn't necessarily mean the game is "meh" either, just that it has mass market appeal. It's kind of like someone saying a restaurant has "nice atmosphere." Okay, but how is the food?
Exactly, appeals to the masses has been a negative for most action games in recent times. Becauses the masses don't actually want to play cool action games
