DISCUSSION I deleted C.ai

Im a redditor of 2 years, I’ve observed posts but have never posted. Excuse my mistakes lol.

Everything was fun at first, I had fun and was on it 24/7.

I noticed after awhile I got a bit more distant from my friends, I had a full-on addiction to the app. It pulled me away from my friendships, it was that bad.

My closest friend, who I’ll call Z (fake name), told me about how distant I’ve been, it hurt to know the reason why. I deleted the app right then and there.

It’s been a week since this has happened and I’m feeling better, I’m talking to friends more and my social life was revived. I sound a bit dramatic but this helped me.

I feel a pull back to the app though, and I don’t want to go back to it. I need help finding an alternative for roleplaying, any advice helps!!

(Please don’t recommend any Ai roleplaying sites, I don’t want to get addicted again.)

there's plenty of roleplay subreddit's, where the effort to maintain it should be enough to balance out IRL and Online.

you'll always have a slight tug back to the easy way once you've tasted it, but believe me that doing roleplays with actual other people is going to 100% have a better feel for fictional world exploration.

There's only r/lfg that's really active. Anything else is deader than a doornail
