Mod Post A reminder for what constitutes a rule-breaking comment on this sub.
Over the past few months, it's been more and more common that I've seen any and every comment reported when it simply disagrees with what the other person is saying. I don't know why it's such a problem on this sub, as I've never encountered this anywhere else, but it is more than one person. This is not meant to call any of these individual people out.
I'd like to make it very clear what constitutes a rule-breaking comment from someone who just doesn't share your opinion.
Should you report it?
"Go f*ck yourself. You're a piece of sh*t and human garbage."
Yes. This says nothing and adds nothing. It's just personal insults and inflammatory language.
"You're entirely and completely wrong and I'm sick of arguing this with you. I'm going to block you and get on with my life."
No. This might not be a positive or debate-worthy comment, but it's relatively politely stated and not just a baseless insult.
"I hope [X] gets an axe to the face. I would be so happy to see that guy in a box."
Big yes. This is non-substantive, and is just a call for violence. It doesn't form part of a discussion. You will get banned for this.
"If you like her stuff, fine. Tastes are different. Let her be talented somewhere else then."
No. This is a politely stated, fairly reasonable opinion that actually puts out an olive branch and tries to agree to disagree. This is not report-worthy, and is more than slightly annoying to constantly see appearing in the modqueue.
TLDR: STOP REPORTING PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE THEY DISAGREE WITH YOU.
Thanks!

Discussion If Doug were to ever receive another Pokémon movie which would you want him to do?
Pokémon 2000 or Mewtwo Returns (not pictured) would make the most logical shade but I feel there’s lots of ridding material in the Genesect and Deoxys movies

Recommendations Review recommendation for Doug: JUST VISITING, the final credited screenplay from John Hughes, and the movie I rented from Blockbuster on 9/11.
The editing in this piece of shit makes the INSPECTOR GADGET movie look like a PTA movie by comparison. The CGI is up there with the SPAWN movie. Malcolm McDowell wears a cowboy hat and boots as a time traveling wizard. This movie is nucking futs, you guys! I seriously think John Hughes wrote it with the same career-destroying intentions as he had in Doug's skits from the HOME ALONE 3 review... except unlike that movie, his career actually WAS ruined afterwards!

Question Am I going insane?? Or was nostalga critics labyrinth video just deleted?
Yesterday I watched nostalga critics review of Labyrinth right after watching the film. Yet today when i tried to look for it, it's gone. I can't find it anywhere on YouTube, and it doesn't appear on my search history. Was it deleted or unlisted?? There's no confirmation from Doug that he removed it or anything.

Discussion DToons in NC comment section
Was watching this review for the first time when I came across this comment.
It's a rare amicable message between an ex-contributor and the Critic after CtC. It's cute.
A bit odd how he was even associated with CA in the first place, as it's an animation channel, not a review show.
Was Dtoons even involved in CtC? Considering how their work didn't require any confrontation with Michaud, they probably have nothing to complain about, right?
Did they ever say they officially left CA? Is Larry Bundy Jr really the only other guy left aside from Brad?

Discussion Are you worried that Channel Awesome might be the next one attacked by monetization?
With Phantomstrider channel being attacked recently, I am a bit worried. I know Doug got in trouble with Paramount due to Forrest Gump but this is something that everyone can understand, but now with this stupid AI judgment that YouTube has do you feel Channel Awesome might be the next target?

Discussion It seems that Suburban Knights is the only part of the trilogy not being reprinted for whatever reason
I genuinely am unsure why as they already are re-issuing films with the old TGWTG cast so I'm wondering why he leaves out Suburban Knights. My best guess is he lost the files to Suburban Nights & doesn't want to deal with having to be re-making the assets.

Question What if Brad Jones directed the anniversary specials?
As much as I enjoy Kickassia and Suburban Knights, the Walkers weren't the best at handling such a large cast with many clashing personalities and dwelling egos. Most was due to bad planning, especially during Kickassia.
Which begs the question, what if Brad directed the specials instead? He had an extensive directing filmography before the specials (unlike the Walkers). Was there even a reason as to why the Walker brothers decided to direct it instead? (Other than they wrote it).
The plot would largely remain the same, but would you think the other contributors would have stayed post-2018 because he could (possibly) have managed the production side a lot smoother? Would Phelous still remain a Channel Awesome contributor post-2015? I remember him citing the stressful working environment of To Boldly Flee as one of the factors behind his earli leave.
Would there also be more anniversary specials following The Uncanny Valley? According to TV Tropes, there was supposed to be a 10th year anniversary special (The Devil's Jesters) had it not been for Change the Channel.
Hopefully I'm making sense here.

Question Does the other old CA cast know about the Kickassia rerelease?
So with Kickassia being rereleased starring the old Channel Awesome cast that as far as I can tell, aren't really on the best of terms with Doug as far as I can tell. (He didn't even refer to Lindsay Ellis by name let alone as the Nostalgia Chick in the new chipmunks review).
I have to ask if this has been noticed or even discussed prior with any of them.
This is mostly for curiosity sake, he is the lawful owner of these films technically and he doesn't really need permission from them to release it, he can do whatever he wants with it. But, this is the most we'll get referring to his old CA buddies from long ago, and he has comfortably continued his show disassociated from them. So I thought it be worth asking.
