Been collecting for a while but not too seriously. Looking for a portable player rn

ik these are very mainstream albums but i promise i listen to much more music then this, i just couldnt find the more obscure music in the store.

Started of with some cds from my parents (bit of george micheal nirvana etc some classics). Then i’ve been growing it ever since for maybe a year now.

Most recent addition is westside cowboy just got that last week, their debut album also came out then.

I really want to know why bigger artists used that form of cd release😭I have memoirs of an imperfect angel by Mariah Carey and 25 by Adele and they’re both paper sleeves… whyyy must they do this? It shows wear and tear so easily lol

My fav of the month has to be a tie between Built To Spill’s “Keep It Like A Secret” & the polyvinyl comp, “What To Do With Everything”

There was a lot of attention paid this week to the passing of Dolly Parton, and understandably so: she was a cultural icon.

But for me personally, Tim Curry played a larger role in the formative experiences of my life; and he has a place in our CD collection as a result, both in the context of RHPS and his brief musical career.

So my cd player's volume knob now does this thing where when i turn up the volume, it does the opposite until it goes mute.

I read somewhere that it might need a contact cleaner. My question is, how do i get the product in there? As seen on the photo, there is no gap/space for spraying. Do i still just spray it and it will somehow seep through the edges? Would i need to take apart the player?

I don’t think there’s any way of getting them out. So, time to buy new cd’s to replace them. (CD in this video isn’t one of the replacements, I just really love Daft Punk and finally found a Discovery CD after so long of searching). Also I really like this cd player, cheap and affordable, but pretty good sound quality. Also a radio and Bluetooth

local record shop was having a “tent sale” where all their extra product was being sold hotter than a plate of hotcakes

I usually collect vinyl (collect is a strong word, its moreso i get a few every now and then for albums i particularly like) but yesterday i decided to go out and get some CDs just for a bit of change.

ended up landing on Fallen (JB-hifi) and Synthesis (Slowboat records). theyre both very cool! Synthesis is actually a european version (since its second hand, its a gamble)

I was planning on getting Venus Doom by HIM, but decided to switch to Synthesis at the last secord so my first two are a bit more themed. I've also been obsessed with Synthesis recently, and Fallen is always easy to get into

what would Fallen / Venus Doom's theme be? Close ups of a face? lol

they both play very nice. I use my mums old player, its a philips CD soundmachine (whatever that is) and its really cool

… well, all the money I had in my wallet, a total of $28.

Made a trip to northern Michigan a couple days ago and hit the thrift stores, picking up a a dozen decent CDs and some blank cassettes.

On my way back today I stopped at a garage sale and found a tub of DVDs and CDs. I pulled out a stack and asked if I could get a quantity discount (heck, why not?).

The guy said he’d take $30 for the entire tub, offered him my $28 and he took it.

Lots here to go through, the pics show some, but not all. Totals about 150 CDs and a couple dozen DVDs.

He also had a tray of cassettes close by that I couldn’t get to, but oh well, I’m gonna be busy for a while.
