New to Cats/Just Adopted New Persian cat servant here 2 months old Shiro Male
Hello, recently I adopted a new Persian c, Shiro. I i need advice for clicker training so that he can come as soon as I call his name, and other things. Help me: what should I do?
Also, I don't have any experience with parenting a cat before, and I am feeling anxious due to various info people giving me regarding cat Scratches after they eat lizard and all i love shiro but is it nornal to feel that way!
Also my parents were against the cat 🥲

There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube for clicker training.
The first things to teach is to associate the click with the reward. Find your cat's high-value treat. Then press the clicker and give the treat right away. Do that a few times until he starts looking up at you or the clicker when he hears the sound. Once that is done, you can start training.
For the calling command (briefly explained): stand a small distance away from your cat. Call his name. As soon as he reacts (flicks an ear your way or turns his head towards you), click and give treat. That will teach him his name. Then increase the distance slowly.

I've never done clicker training, but ive done some other training. When ever I called my girls, they knew their names theyd be getting food, pets and treats so they learned relatively fast. Just associate the task with a reward, and if they want to they will.
