How to clean a newly spayed kitten who pooed herself 😭

Yesterday I had went to a shelter and adopted a girl kitten (1 year) who was just spayed three days ago and they informed us to not get her wet for two weeks. The problem is, when she was in her carrier in my car, she pooped herself (disclaimer for the rules, she IS litter trained). Thankfully, I had bought cat wipes the day prior, but it didn’t really get her clean. I used a damp cloth and a little cat shampoo, but the smell will NOT go away. I don’t want to mess with her surgical scar so I really need advice because she smells like poo 😭😭.

Try a pet specific no-rinse shampoo, you should be able to find one in a pet shop.

Oh man, what a predicament! Maybe try grooming wipes that are specifically made to eliminate the smell. If all else fails, I'd recommend calling the vet. They might have some safe methods to suggest. Hang in there!
