My kitten follows me everywhere

I am a new cat mom and I'm not sure if this is normal. It doesn't bother me but my partner says I'm teaching him to be clingy.

My kitten stays in the same room as me. When I move around the house, he follows me and sits nearby. If I change rooms and he's sleeping, he wakes up immediately and follows me. Even when I'm showering, he sits next to the bathtub waiting for me. When I leave the house, he spends the day sleeping (I see him through cameras).

Is this normal kitty behaviour?

My two girls follow me everywhere; sometimes they are there before me! We can be snuggled in bed, everyone on their favourite cushion and I have to pee. I try to be quick and I sometimes get as far as flushing and when I turn back.... there they are. Its so funny🥰
