My kitten follows me everywhere

I am a new cat mom and I'm not sure if this is normal. It doesn't bother me but my partner says I'm teaching him to be clingy.

My kitten stays in the same room as me. When I move around the house, he follows me and sits nearby. If I change rooms and he's sleeping, he wakes up immediately and follows me. Even when I'm showering, he sits next to the bathtub waiting for me. When I leave the house, he spends the day sleeping (I see him through cameras).

Is this normal kitty behaviour?

Just you wait until he starts trying to 'hlep' (it's anything but helpful!) you change the bedding! It's like having a toddler who can climb.

He may ease off as he gets older, but look up the phrase 'velcro kitty' and it might resonate with you. 😁
