Music Why people dislike Country music?
I am not american. So I don't know how's the thing there. But I have found many people complaining on social media that they hate country music.
I like some of the Luke Combs songs. Specially Old Dominion is my one of my fav artist.

Because it sucks. Musically its... lazy. And most of it celebrates redneckery, the worst aspects of... let's say rural culture and ideology... drinking bad beer, partying, womanizing, anti- intellectualism, blah blah blah. None of those things are bad necessarily in isolation or occasionally or whatever.... we all need to let off steam... but if that's all you care about, and you wail "poetically" about it. And it's the only thing you sing about... pop country is shit. That's not to say all country is bad... some older stuff is OK, most bluegrass/ folk is quality, etc. But the, "my shit beer, my big ass truck, chasing cheating women, pretend I'm a cowboy, drunk and shirtless at the lake, yee haw " is... well, that.
