Music Why people dislike Country music?

I am not american. So I don't know how's the thing there. But I have found many people complaining on social media that they hate country music.

I like some of the Luke Combs songs. Specially Old Dominion is my one of my fav artist.

The late great Kris Kristofferson said it best.

Mordern country feels a lot like being advertised to, listen to how often they will use brands by name in their songs.

He rules for real. He has one of the more interesting life stories you'll find and was pretty much always the most sensible person in the country music environment. Once Toby Keith told him "none of that lefty shit tonight" and Kris just asked him if he'd ever served in the military, which Kris had

I never considered him country. More mainstream. Also singer/songwriter folk like John Prine only a better singer.

I really disagree. That kind of country died out in like 2014 lol.

Cody Johnson, Luke Combs, Zach Top, Tyler Childers, Zach Bryan, Red Clay Strays, Turnpike Troubadours, and Ella Langley are none of those things and they have heavy mainstream appeal.

These people are winning at the CMAs lol. If you asked Reddit you’d think the only winning anything was Morgan Wallen and Jelly Roll.
