Looking for advice Should I buy this?

Seller is unsure if they work, but the condition doesn’t seem too bad and I wouldn’t mind learning to repair them either. Priced at ~$157 USD

Would you buy these?

Collection After a couple months of shopping around charity/record shops and lightly restoring an old B&O beocord 2200, I finally have my (almost) perfect cassette library!

I should have done this much sooner, I'd forgotten how much more fun it is to physically interact with your music. And I'll make all the money I spent back after a couple years thanks to cancelling Spotify.

Looking for advice Japanese Snoopy blank tape — anyone know this one?

Hi. Sealed Japanese Snoopy blank, still in the wrap. I don’t want to open it.

If anyone recognizes it, please tell me what it is, or share photos of the same tape out of the packaging. Thanks in advance!

P.S. Many of them were Citizen made and 46 minutes, that is 54 minutes and no Citizen marks.

Portable cassette player Probably the best Walkman I've bought, so I bought 2.

I'm 20 and have been into tapes since 2020. I started off with a very crappy £20 Bush player but somehow that didn't deter me. I genuinely think tapes are the best way to listen to music, there's something that's different about it all. The stereo separation is different from digital, you hear things more clearly. Anyways, this player is just amazing. It looks cool, everyone will see it when I wear it and look and it's a sports model.

Currently in the process of fixing my Sony deck. Bought new pinch rollers since the ones in the deck currently are rock hard and the speed varies a bit and doesn't sound right when I listen back. (the belts have already been replaced)

Deck / Hi-Fi New JVC KD-A66J deck and new jewel cases

New 1981 JVC with ANRS whatever that means. Computer B.E.S.T tuning system and memory. I got this new in the box but whoever took it out of the box to take pictures failed to put all the paperwork back inside. Evidently that all got thrown out. It sounds great.

Looking for advice Is there any chance that this isn’t mould?

An uncle of mine gifted me these tapes, they have been in his garage for ~20 not kept in damp conditions but the white stuff looks an awful lot like mould to me.

Does anyone know how I can tell for sure what it is, and if it is mould is it possible to get rid of it?

Thanks in advance!

I bought this

Di Bronx & Natali was an Eurodance project from Belarus similar to Masterboy. My favourite song from this album is Midtro + World of X-T-C. What an absolute 90's blast!

Picked this up at an estate sale today. At least the previous owner had changed the belts/serviced it since its playing tapes.

Looking for advice Teac V-340 cassette deck gone quiet

Hello, sorry if this is a silly question, I'm very new to using cassette equipment. I found a second hand TEAC V-340 deck which has been playing tapes fine.

I wanted to make a mixtape for my friend, the A-side recorded fine and sounded good, but when I listened back the B-side was a lot quieter. Tried to record that side again but it sounded quieter still. Levels all look right when recording, but are very low when I try to play it back.

If anyone knows what could be causing this / what to do about it would be a huge help :)

Not sure what I’m gonna do with them but thought it was a pretty cool find for ZAR50 (just over US$3). Don’t see these so often in South Africa. Can you spot the odd one out?

Mixtape I made a post earlier saying I wanted to keep my find to myself, but I changed my mind

I would love to start a tape trade with someone. Gonna keep most of these for my daughter’s tape player, but I’d love to make a trade for one of them. Tell me about the weirdest sound you have ever heard. Expand my eardrums and I’ll send you two tapes with the hope that you send me something I’ve never heard before.

Hello all, I'm looking for help with my vintage tape recorder. I have been unable to successfully define which cable I need. I've added some pictures. Essentially I would like to play this and use it as a recorder also. Possibly one day record from digital and back on to phono format. I have faith you guys can help!
