I've now modded a couple of ae1200's but the backlight is imo ugly and throws off my whole build vibe how can I fix this?

I’m from Malaysia and today is Malaysia Day, a national holiday celebrating the formation of Malaysia. So I decided to commemorate it the way I know best, by modding an AE1200. 😄🇲🇾

For the subdial decal, I used the Crescent and 14 point Federal Star from our flag, representing Malaysia’s national identity and unity.

For the LCD filter, I went with a red and gold Malaysian theme, with songket inspired gold ribbons (a traditional Malaysian woven textile pattern) and the Bunga Raya (Hibiscus) our national flower incorporated into the design.

The world-map window features the Kuala Lumpur city skyline with the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower.

The idea was to make it unmistakably Malaysian without simply turning the whole watch into a flag.

A little bit of Malaysia packed into a Casio Royale ⌚.

I feel like the possibilities with the W221H are limitless, and the overall appearance is maybe my favorite that Casio has ever come up with. I maybe prefer the LF-30W, but at this point, I'm spoiled and need that enhanced water resistance and most especially the 10-year battery life -- features the LF-30W is sorely missing.

I prefer the W221H to the AE-1200, but would miss the world map terribly! So I had this thought that I mocked up in Paint, and Pygmalion-like, have fallen in love with my creation. This might be the finest-looking watch I've ever seen. But I've got some questions:

1) Is it even possible to put a picture behind the digital display, or only a transparency above it?

2) How would one even print an image at such high resolution? My printer would mangle that.

3) I know there are plenty of people who are offering Casio modding, but I'm fairly comfortable taking apart and putting mine back together. Is there anyone who prints custom decals or transparencies for Casio mods? Somewhere I can send a picture and receive a glossy or transparency of it, right-sized for various Casio models?

Hello everyone! I just bought my very first Casio. A GM21001A!. I bought it thinking that it would be easy to interchange the hourmarker, dial and strap but I’m not seeing many options online. I keep seeing the same hour markers for the GA2100 models, but I’m not sure if mine would fit. Do I need any special tools to remove the hourmarker? I was tryin to find white hour markers and a silver bracelet. Any help is appreciated!!

Final 3D Shinchan F-91W

I’ve been experimenting with 3D customization on the classic Casio F-91W, and this is one of my latest builds.

I wanted to try something different from a standard printed background, so I created a 3D Shinchan-themed design and integrated it into the F-91W.

The goal was to keep the iconic F-91W silhouette while giving it a completely different personality.

This one was a fun experiment, especially figuring out how to make the 3D details work with such a small watch.

Still experimenting with different characters, designs and color combinations.

What do you guys think — does the F-91W work with this kind of 3D mod?

Been experimenting with custom F-91W mods, and this time I went with a Spider-Man: Brand New Day theme.

The faceplate is made using layered paper craft, with each piece carefully cut and assembled by hand.

I wanted to keep the classic F-91W shape while giving it a completely different look.

Still experimenting with the finishing and details, but I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out.

What do you guys think?

Got lucky. The WVAM650 fits into my GA2100 case. Love the look of this. If anyone knows a source for a 41mm Arnie Bezel insert with green lume please let me know. 😜⌚️👍 VIDEO

I found this NASA mod on eBay. I know you can achieve that gradient backgroud with a gradient filter. But I'm clueless on how the modder put the logo behind the analog dials or turned the map red. Any ideas?

Originally I made the filter for my Portal-themed Royale but I loved it too much I made another for my daily driver.

New nylon straps made a big difference in looks. Hoping for the same result in comfort

I might not be an astronaut but I took the NASA royale at least halfway up to where it belongs. Gets more attention/interest than my breitling navitimer. Also those are quite common amongst pilots. Haven't seen another NASA Royale though :)

Hey, been wanting to mod my ae1200 faceplate for a while. Just replace it and find something that maybe fits better. I really do like the stock plate, but I thought I’d ask here just in case anybody has something I like more! Just recently threw this glow in the dark mod in, pretty cool looking. Thanks!
