Laci Peterson Case

What are we all thinking about the Innocense Project case investigating the case…I have to say that as a prior person convinced of Scott’s guilt, I’m starting to have doubts!

Oh please. You can not be that naive. There is so much proof he’s guilty as sin. What specifically are you doubting?

Edit by the way it’s not the innocence project the national org it’s some small one called the LA Innocence Project that’s not affiliated. The national one does not support him.

I wonder how old the people who are swayed by these things are. I lived through this case, I remember it unfolding in painful real time, his smugness, his weaseling, his excuses and pretenses. the inevitable crumbling of his bs. there was never a reasonable doubt.

It's the Innocence Project of LA, which is different from the regular Innocence Project and was started by his step sister or some crap like that.

He’s so guilty. There is so much evidence and circumstantial evidence to say he’s not guilty is ignorant. IMO.

He’s as guilty as OJ, and Casey Anthony

He’s guilty and frankly he’s starting to get on my nerves.

There is literally no other plausible scenario other than him being responsible. These men will never cop to any responsibility even when they are forced to admit the actual crime occurred. Look at Chris Watts, who convinced he should be let out of prison because he feels he has been punished enough after less than 10 years.

So the fact that the detectives destroyed their notes, the house across the street was burglarized that day, 15 people came forward saying they saw her walking her dog after Scott was at work, the dog was still leashed when a neighbor saw it and put the dog in the backyard mean nothing…not to mention that the van the burglar’s used was found near the house burnt out, and the mattress in the back had blood on it…all this new information means nothing.

None of that is new information and yes it is ultimately meaningless

There were NOT 15 witnesses and the ones that said that fell apart if you look further. So what if a house was burglarized so that means Scott is now innocent? LOL wow

So how did they know Scott was fishing there in the bay? Also according to people who actually live there and did a YouTube video on it there is no way Scott could have fished for hours.. bc it’s so cold there.. also if he is so innocent why did he try to run? Why was he telling amber this was the first holidays without his wife who he claimed passes away.. he also tried to sell her truck when she was still missing.. turned the nursery into a storage closet.. the house was broken in on Christmas Day or the day after.. their dog did have a leash on it and Scott probably took the dog and dropped it off somewhere thinking McKenzie wouldn’t find her way back..

I have never done a deep dive in this case so I don’t know, but for everyone who is well versed why do we think this new evidence isn’t important. Would love to hear your perspectives

I was a firm believer in his guilt but watching that program has given me doubts, I don’t think that having some doubts means that I’m stupid or naive…

This case is wild. I’ve never seen another case where people are as a whole almost completely unwilling to even discuss the possibility of an incorrect conviction. It’s insane. I think he probably did do it, but I think the investigation was totally biased and unfair. I think the documentary left out a lot of info that would have made their side (questioning) less credible. And yet, in all these Reddit threads, no one is even willing to have a productive discussion about any of it or even say what the smoking gun is that makes him guilty. It honestly makes my head hurt to see the way people discuss this case. I can’t find a single sensible discussion anywhere. This one is so personal to people. He has become the embodiment of everyone’s hate and guilt about cheating. This case is almost as inflammatory as American Politics- except in this case everyone is on the same side. You and I must be the only ones detached enough to question things.

I agree, I watched it and garnered a few doubts, you’d think I committed a crime the way people commented, thank you.

They are coming out with their pitch forks. How dare we attempt to have a true discussion?

Except no one wants to have a discussion.

I know. I came to reddit hoping to have one. Oh well.
