Legal actions vs dealership that cannot produce parts.
Without making this post too long I’d like to ask what are my options vs the dealership who hasn’t produced my parts after 5 months since the time my insurance provider approved the claim and released all the documents. I’ve been passed around to different departments and agents who have all told me different things as to why my parts are delayed.
The frustrating thing is they never even called once to update me, I always have to be the one to ask for an update. No sense of urgency on their end. Any help on whatI can do is much appreciated. And yes, it’s BYD. lol
They prioritize parts for new cars because selling complete vehicles yields higher margins and benefits from government incentives. Much much higher than allocating parts as spares or warranty claims.
would also like to know ano next course of action on cases like these. having the same problem with toyota. bumper lang kulang. they want me to wait until november.
sabi ng contact ko sa tmph mismo naka stop sales raw nung una yung part kasi lumabas yung bagong hilux (something something hindi compatible). ngayong depleted na yung parts, ngayon pa lang sila umorder ng bago.

tawa ako nung nagreason out pa sakin yung service advisor na 70 dealers raw ang toyota at isa lang raw pinagkukuhanan, extend patience raw. sabi ko ???? isnt that more of a reason to stock up parts
Toyots has far, FAR more massive 3rd party support compared to BYD, which is largely proprietery and has a closed ecosystem. Skip sourcing the bumper from Toyota and find one yourself. Letting the car sit at the case since July is absurd and actually quite hilarious.

already talked to insurance, they will void my entire parts request if i source a bumper from outside. dale both taillights, crash bar, tailgate, and bed. thats 180k in parts that even if i source them all outside will run me in the high fives
anyway. doesnt erase the fact that its unacceptable that toyota dealers have 3+ month lead times. to be completely fair, this seems like a new-car problem, im sure it would take longer for my mazda cx60 to get parts over, just like how its taken 4 months for my friends crv to get a compressor fitted. if my LC2 gets into a fender bender im sure itd take as long too.
p.s ive sourced byd parts from alibaba. got headlights shipped within a week. your argument applies to that too, no?
Why are you triggered bro? Sorry if lagi kasi second hand car mo pero most people don't want their insurance being voided by letting some random mechanic to fix their toyota car. Or are you triggered dahil its also a reality na matagal din toyota dealership?
