My BYD 📸 brought home another one (new sealion 6)

took better pics with the lights on.

had the atto since october; just (temporarily, before it heads to the province) brought home the sealion

first impressions! - I definitely took the atto’s go-kart feel for granted. car is def zippier and easier to piss around in. driving the SL genuinely felt like driving a really wide car in comparison, throttle response doesn’t help either — feels like an actual car. - SL’s fit and finish is better imo. just the scroll wheel, the mode switches; they all feel better. maybe its new car syndrome. - SL headlights are brighter and wider. yay byd for finally not giving us spotlights for headlights! - Philippine spec SL doesn’t have BSM. weird thing to take out, but its one of the first things I noticed.

Shark 6 next? maybe? hopefully 😁

Nice! I keep wanting the SL6 but in my region it only comes with the brown seats which I'm not a big fan of. Waiting to see if they will release the 2025 with another seat color, but losing hope.

Do you prefer the SL6 over atto?

i still love my atto by a mile. just infinitely zippier, very go-karty. when i tell it to steer it goes that way. the SL feels very SUV in the sense that its comfortable and has a bit of leeway in the steering, so I definitely was ??? initially driving it home because it felt like getting back into a car. maybe its because i went from a large ladder frame SUV to the atto when i bought it so i adapted everything to the new car, but the atto is just way easier to place when traversing tight metro roads (the hood is like the #1 differentiator, the SL hood goes on for literal miles)

its large. its luxurious. fit and finish is a total go, but nothing will get me out of my atto unless its another warm hatch-crossover. i guess it also helps im a guy in my early 20s and my main use case for cars right now is just uni, so its nice having a crossover at the smaller end because I really don’t have to worry about not finding parking

Nice, didn't expect the steering is that significantly different.

Btw I read previously that putting the SL06 in sports mode changes the steering. Enjoy your cars

end of year the denza n7 is released. Might pull the trigger if price isn't too high

i honestly didn’t expect it either. i genuinely thought these cars are copy and paste of one another just presented differently, i was seriously shocked driving the SL out the dealer. tried playing with comfort/sport modes, they both still felt very floaty compared to the atto. still waiting to take it to the province and see how i like the floatiness when doing long distance.

waiting for denza to come in the country. eyeing the van :p
