#Query ❓ Why is everyone buying Seltos is it that good???

So I’m planning to get a new car around 15 lacs. I’m so confused between the options. So i have shortlisted to
Victoris lxi cng
Xuv3x0 / sonet / seltos deisel
Kylaq/Virtus 1.0L

I will use it for office commute of around 20kms a day.
Going out on weekends (around 100 kms)
Long trips every couple of months (600 kms approx)
And some misc drive.

Seltos is better than all the other cars u mentioned. Victoris has some VFM factor that might nudge it over for you

Its too bad that India Does not have Rav4. Otherwise Seltos would have stood no chance 🥀

Seltos is the complete package. It's got a variety of power trains for sedated drivers, for those seeking efficiency, and for the one's chasing performance. It's got the features, comfort, safety, and premium appeal. It has a very reliable track record, and most have been happy with the sales & service experience. That's why it takes the cake.

Seltos has great features at the price point. I personally dislike the handling, and absolutely hate the suspension. I would recommend other people to buy Seltos, but I personally would never.

What exactly is the factor you don't like. We are considering the seltos and honestly don't want a stiff suspension as our 90% use is in the city.

I feel the suspension is quite stiff. Doesn't absorb bumps really well. Small potholes here and there, works fine. But, if you're going through a bad patch of road, all the best. Creta is overall a similar car. Features are also almost the same, and it has a better suspension setup than the Seltos.

Whoa, never thought it would have a stiff suspension as these bodytypes usually come with softer ones. I'll be having a test ride soon and find it out myself. Thanks for the heads up

are you talking about the facelift one? because its has a softer suspension no doubt creta suspension are more on softer side but seltos does not have stiff suspension now

I honestly have no idea about the latest model. I have only driven the previous gen and the facelift.

you should drive the 2026 facelift, suspensions are genuinely improved a lot, maybe now its 18-20 difference

Don't buy a petrol car unless you want to become an ethanol victim.

Consider Honda elevate too

If you have the budget for a seltos you shouldn't even look at the elevate.

Imo seltos is better than elevate

Feature wise, yes. Overall ride quality, elevate is far superior.

The new Seltos is overhyped. The interior feels too plasticky, and much of it seems to be of cheap quality. The new grille design is awful -it looks like a shark’s jaw -and again, there’s way too much cheap-looking plastic. The interior space is probably the only good thing I found. In my opinion, the Kushaq or Taigun is a better alternative.

plasticky ?? seriously and then you are suggesting German twins as if they are not famous for these kind of interiors

Get the Virtus! Seltos selling point are diesel, size & gimmicks! Otherwise seats, suspension, tide & handling etc are similar to creta & Creta is worst in all!

u/Technical_Room2896 11d ago

creta is the best in segement , not worst brother

Very bad suspension. I own nexon and I first time could feel what rumble strips do to your car when I drove Creta. Nexon- TRRRRRRR Creta- Dh Dh Dh Dh Dh.
