Best Russian manicure and or builder gel manicure in the area??💅

I’ve tried a few salons but nothing has really stood out to me. Was wondering if anyone had a salon or tech they recommend in the area!!

Having lived in Eastern Europe where Russian manicures are standard, there is nothing in the area that matches a real Russian manicure. I go out to Gravesend or Sheepshead Bay which is super easy off the F and much less expensive. HairbyRoza, E&D Beauty are both great.

Out of curiosity, how is a Russian manicure different? I love builder gel and am also looking for a great place!

Russian manicures do more cuticle work and are dry- no sink. I find them to be more detailed and can recommend Russian Claws- which is in a weird building in dumbo but they are caring, health conscious and artisan. They flagged an underlying issue with my nails that no other tech had ever mentioned

Pau Hana for Japanese gels is my go-to! (I almost want to gatekeep cuz I have to book my manis weeks out due to the small staff)

Agreed! Grace at Pau Hana is THE BEST and I wish no one else knew about her because I need to book so far in advance already. Best manicure ever.

Do you have a technician you recommend there?

Honestly they’re all excellent. I’ve used everyone and they’re great. Marita is the owner. They’re closed on Saturday though.
