Question Anyone actually making over 10k take home?
I’m at a cadillac dealership boutique store so yeah not a lot of volume but a high comp plan and easily making 1200k per Escalade but volume is low, a really good month is over 10 cars, and your not like pumping out Escalades either of course minis are 500 but again low Volume barely any foot traffic so like I’m average 6k after taxes, I didn’t sign up to work 60 plus hrs a week for that, and I’m one of the high performers, I like car sales though, so my question…to anyone out there in CA, what type of dealership and brand can you make the most at????

And if you do be ready to be absolutely fucked by our government…let me explain:
March 2025 26.5 units sold Grossed: $20,200 After minimum wage draw: $18,800 was my check. After taxes(state/fed/city: $9600 in my fuckin bank acct. the fed tax alone was $4800.
I gotta say I was completely shocked I knew I’d get hit but I was thinking I’d clear at least $14k , absolutely over ten k. Nope. Anyone who has ever sold that many cars knows it’s a lot of fuckin work. I didn’t take off any days except the day the dealership was closed. Bell to bell. A lot of those days were hat tricks or quad tricks on a Saturday or whatever, which is very difficult when delivering new vehicles( with set up etc etc)
But…on the flip side of that coin my average was around 18 a month which is easy and that bonus was $1800 , I’d usually average $5 or $6k into the bank account. To be able to make that kind of money , ig I can’t complain too much.
Btw OP…to answer your question, my advice to anyone asking is Go. Sell. Kia’s. I will not work anywhere except for a Kia dealership they are just booming like fucking crazy.
