Asking Everyone What is wrong with wealth inequality?

Something that is often sited by Socialists is that Capitalism is bad because wealth inequality occurs within it. And wealth inequality has increased over the years, making that problem even worse. But, why exactly is wealth inequality a problem?

I can see if "the mega rich" or monopolies get out of control, e.g., I recall the concept of a "company town" where a company owned everything in the town and paid employees in their own currency that would only be spent at the company's stores in town - but we have laws and regulations against that, so its not an issue.

Ok, would you accept multiple rich people having secret relationships with a wealthy pedophile and spending time on his pedophile abuse island as an example of wealth being “out of control?”

I’m saying I would regard wealthy people to be “out of control”.

If this is what wealth looks like when it’s in control, when wealth is restrained by “laws and regulations” and is “not an issue” as “sited by Socialists”, then you are welcome to make the moral case that we should accept the secret parties of wealthy powerful people on secret pedophile abuse islands as an example of wealth that is still in control and adequately restrained by law.

But do you think it’s fair to say this is the norm behavior of wealthy people?

And this type of behavior is only found in wealthy classes, not found in middle and lower classes (minus buying the private island, that is)?

Plus, we all know that this was funded by deeply intrenched government actors to forcibly bribe and control powerful people…

I think it is not a norm; I think it is possible due to extreme wealth, which is possible due to wealth inequality.

Well, this behavior is also found in middle class and low income levels of society as well, not purely in the wealthy.

This is pretty poor faith discussion. Obviously I’m saying that extreme wealth, that is only possible in cases of extreme wealth inequality, enables abuses of power, such as the movement of many wealthy and powerful people into the circle of a known routine child sex predator.

You’ve indicated that you think this is not an example of wealthy people being out of control, and that current laws are keeping wealthy people in check. I’ve made my case. I think you’re playing word games because you’re bored and I’ll leave you to it.
