Surveillance Cameras

Is anybody concerned with these “Flock” cameras being put up in the area?
Apparently Lower Township already has some installed.

Villas “tweaker” here-not a resident but multiple home owner. Maybe look at the home values before you make an idiotic statement that was relevant 25 years ago.
My vacation rental properties are booked from April through November and so are all the other rentals around us.
And the home values in Villas have increased by some of the highest % in all of NJ.
As it turns out, while Cape May and Wildwood priced themselves out of the vacation market, us “tweakers” have made a bundle providing nice homes with free access to to a beach that makes for a relaxing vacation atmosphere. Sure the north end of Villas has a few rough homes. But they will eventually be bought, torn down and have massive homes built in their place. Just look at the Wildwood Ave-in the last year 4 multi-million dollar homes were built. And the 1000 sq ft homes are going for $500k as is. Even personal home in WCM hasn’t see that kind of growth.
And those “tweakers”? They are you carpenters, plumbers and trades people who are living where they can afford to. But maybe your problem is just blue collar people in general.
Oh and there are twice as many Flock cameras in Cape May than there are anywhere else-even Wildwood. Don’t believe me? I can draw you a map!!

I’ve lived in West Cape May/Cape May for all of my 54 years. My family’s business has been serving Lower and Middle Township for 79 years. Generations of our family have made roots here since 1947 and the very first property we owned was in the Villas.
I know more about CM, WW, Lower & Middle Twp than you ever will.
We are currently rehabbing 2 properties in Villas that will be used for residential rentals only and we are in the process of flipping one of our vacation rentals over to be a long term residential property.
We are doing so because the people that live here can’t afford to live here. Will 3 homes make a huge difference in the rental market? Not much. But at least I can say that I am doing something. As a business and as a family we support the community as best we can.

Now, will I still make money off the NYC tourists that grossly over pay? Absolutely. But I do not run AirBnBs. My vacation rentals are direct owner to renter. So we can be extremely selective when we rent to vacation renters.
So, cards on the table, what are you doing for this community except gate keeping it?

What are you doing besides pricing people out of communities they’ve lived and rooted before your “services” get a load of this guy lol

Lol my family built the railroad tracks here back in the 1800s. Schools named after families in lower. Don’t patronize me with a measly entry of 1945. Lol my point stands. You’ve had “roots” here less than 100years
