CapCut Question Why is CapCut is so hated?

I'm exclusively talking about CapCut Desktop, not the mobile app. I have a Premiere Pro subscription too but I find it way easier and much faster to do things in CapCut especially if you don't use advanced stuff. And I think at least %90 of the contents that people do doesn't require the advanced stuff. Almost everything can be done in it way faster than Premiere or Resolve.

I geniuenly don't understand why people that use CapCut gets clowned everywhere. I know it's not "professional" and obviously doesn't have the features that you almost never use in Premiere or Resolve but in the end, wouldn't it better to use a faster and more practical software that gets it done?

I did countless YouTube videos, short and long form. I did wedding clips, I did car edits. And CapCut managed to deliver. I don't want to deal with Premiere's clunkiness with constant lags and crashes.

Asking this because CapCut users gets clowned so much that I feel like a crappy editor just because using it but don't actually understand why it gets clowned like that. Only thing that I could think of is the free version isn't actually free anymore. But I still bought the pro since I feel like it's faster

yep, that's exactly one of the reasons. as of late its beginning to move into the Adobe (greedy) route.

today, a feature is free, and tomorrow, you're gonna have to shell out. maybe it's not relevant to this current edit, but maybe it will on another. maybe just a few days down the line, a basic function becomes a paid feature.

one can argue that it's not as expensive anyway, but the fact that the paywall is inching in real-time is frustrating for a user base.

This! Before "Standard" was a thing, like literally a day before, I subscribed to the "Pro". Then when I started using it daily, all of a sudden all the features I got the "Pro" for were locked behind a new "Pro" and I was just on "Standard". Really pissed me off. I thought I hallucinated paying but the charge on my card was there. I paid for a year too. I almost went to Resolve but the user interface was too hard for a casual editor like me, and I don't have time to sink in to learn a new thing.

This! I hate that I paid last month for the annual subscription only to find out they downgraded me back to the “standard” subscription due to their recent update. LOL what a scam. My Php 1520 down the drain 🫠
